Continuation: Discussion of the George Zimmerman case

Now Martin is a home invader?

Yes, apparently the confusion and panic Zimmerman felt after encountering the black teenager he had been following and receiving that devastating punch he may or may not have provoked is the equivalent of someone kicking in your door in the middle of the night and wildly firing a gun.

I just like how the more Zimmerman's defenders try to explain away his lies and inconsistencies, the more the whole thing ends up sounding like a Three Stooges sketch.

If Martin had lived he'd be a champion boxer, even the greatest seldom achieve one punch knockdowns of an opponent 50 pounds heavier.

ETA: Reading the creative fiction posted here is always fun, we've had the 'dead man stumble', Z skidding 50 feet on his back, the magic sucker punch and now the home invader, what's next, Martin secretly had an Uzi?

It's really not a problem. George Zimmerman is walking west on the sidewalk past the tee heading back to his truck when Trayvon Martin leaps out of the bushes that are 15 to 20 feet away behind him and punches him in the face. He falls straight to the ground on his back on the grass while tossing the keychain flashlight 6 to 10 feet in the other direction. Because George is understandably confused, he does the slithering thing onto the sidewalk and for 30 to 40 feet down the sidewalk to the south while trayvon is punching his face with bricks and smashing his head into the concrete. George then slides backwards off the sidewalk onto the slippery grass and this let's trayvon see his gun that is tucked into his waistband behind him. When the neighbor steps out briefly to tell them to cut it out, George retrieves his gun and shoots Trayvon. George then walks back towards the tee where he surrenders to flashlight man at the same spot where George's keys landed but neither of them had noticed even though the flashlight attached to the keys was illuminated on. And somehow both George's other flashlight and Trayvon's cell phone ended up even further south than where the fight ended.

The Defense rests.

What do you think Z meant when Z said "he's running"?

Did Z mean "he's running at me"??

I would find that hard to believe with all that we know.
He certainly didn't run away, or they never would have met up. Kind of hard to catch up to someone who's running away when you give them a big head start and never actually run yourself, isn't it?

He certainly knew which direction was away from Zimmerman, and he certainly didn't go that way.

There you have it folks, someone who thinks M ran perpendicular.

Did it ever occur to you that M ran away a short distance and then hid. And that the man following him in a truck left the truck and then followed him to the hiding spot?

In that case M did not think the person would actually leave the truck in pursuit so M thought his off-road hiding spot was sufficient even though it was not that far away. (This clearly debunks the frequent pro-Z war cry that M obviously was not running away because he didn't make it all the way home, or to Europe or something.)
It's my claim that Martin confronted Zimmerman, he certainly wasn't trying to get away from him.

Very odd that very simple and likely scenario I just laid out never crossed your mind. Is it possible that you never thought of that obvious scenario because of a bias in this case?

That he never imagined that the man following him would actually leave his truck, therefore he thought running away only far enough away to hide off-road was sufficient?

Has the story that M stumbled 50 feet after being shot dead been given up?

That poster hasn't been around for a few days. Perhaps their stay at the JREF was short lived...

what's next, Martin secretly had an Uzi?

We already had that one, or the equivalent.

Z was frantically trying to find that uzi immediately after the killing.

Classic.

This brings up another little oddity in the theory that Trayvon was planning an attempted murder when he "confronted" George. He was still on the phone. And still holding it in his hand (which is why it fell). If I were preparing to get a jump on someone, I'd stow my stuff and get off the phone. I'd put the headset in my pocket and set down my bag of stuff from the store. Then I'd work from there.

But Trayvon didn't do any of those things. He kept talking to DeeDee about the creepy man right up until the guy caught him.

You know who did get off the phone and said "actually, can you have them call my cell and I'll tell them where I'm at?"

George.

It's reasonable to speculate whether or not George was heading back to the truck and spotted Trayvon hiding, which is why he suddenly changed his mind about heading back to the mailboxes. That makes more sense to me.

I've sucker punched a guy who was 50 pounds heavier than me (140 vs 190) and he stumbled back about 30 feet before falling down. He got right back up immediately after. All I did was surprise him. There wasn't even a mark on his face afterwards.

Not sure if that's what the topic currently is though...

One last bit of info about video depositions.

Depositions apparently follow the civil trial rules (1.310) but there are also criminal trial rules that supersede the civil rules, and one of those rules says that "sensitive witnesses" who have a fragile emotional state can object to video taping of their deposition.

(4) Depositions of Sensitive Witnesses. Depositions of children under the
age of 16 shall be videotaped unless otherwise ordered by the court. The court may order the
videotaping of a deposition or the taking of a deposition of a witness with fragile emotional
strength to be in the presence of the trial judge or a special magistrate

So it's possible that the State will argue this as part of their response to the specific case of Witness 8, on top of any issues with O'Mara failing to comply with Rule 1.310 by failing to include the name and address of the video operator.

Maybe the state can argue that she was sensitive, since she was so upset she had to go to the hospital ... oh wait ....

You are really trying hard to make sense of what BDLR did. It certainly is confusing.

But you are pointing out a rule that endorses the use of recording in some situations to explain why BDLR didn't want a deposition recorded. That seems a bit desperate....

I didn't read the hilited. What page was that on ?

An argument from incredulity on the proper way to jump someone.

Who argued that TM was planning murder ?

Speculate away. Let us know when you find any evidence.

I don't see where Witnes 6 describes Zimmerman helplessly pinned under Martin and sliding around on his back.

Who was on top ? TM

Who was on the bottom ? GZ

Was he on his back ? Yes

Did he try to sit up and was unable to ? Yes

Did the fight move while they were in this position ? Yes

You need to go (re)read witness 6 statements.

The folks at the Treehouse have been after this witness, doxing her, posting names, addresses, ###'s. trying to hunt her down in real life for some time now, real scary stuff. Witness tampering is gonna land them in a **** load of trouble

The Illegal Activity of “Doxing”: Revealing “documents or personal information” about a person, without their permission, with the intent to Threaten, Harass, Intimidate, Shame, Humiliate or Place at Risk….

The majority of this article outlines the specific illegal and criminal activity of Miami Herald reporter Frances Robles on 7/13/12 and the substantial legal remedies available to Mark and Sondra Osterman.
However, due to new federal laws that apply to internet cyber-stalking, the broader points now apply in multiple internet forums and social media sites
...
The Conservative Treehouse is now in the process of specific legal criminal and civil remedies against various sites affiliated with Trayvon Martin.

The Treeskunk dwellers are in a world of trouble for their criminal activities.

Good.

Maybe the state can argue that she was sensitive, since she was so upset she had to go to the hospital ... oh wait ....

Maybe the defense can argue that George was stunned, since he was attacked with such violence he had to go to the hospital ... oh wait ....

According to the CTH blog post you didn't provide a link for here :

“Doxing“ is a legal term that means revealing “documents” about a person. This can range from revealing the name of a person who uses an alias, but more commonly refers to revealing whatever the person doing it feels will harm, shame, humiliate, endanger, or put the person at some risk. Doxing is a form of stalking or threatening and is illegal under many different federal and state laws, depending on the exact facts and location.

Revealing a “name” per se’ may, or may not be considered “Doxing” depending on the level of anticipated anonymity. However, in this law, the term “restricted personal information” means, “with respect to an individual, the Social Security number, the home address, home phone number, mobile phone number, personal email, or home fax number of, and identifiable to, that individual.” This is an important distinction to remember.

I assume you are talking about witness 8 .... do you have some evidence to back these claims up ? Has the state filed any charges ? Or are you just blowing smoke ?

Maybe the defense can argue that George was stunned, since he was attacked with such violence he had to go to the hospital ... oh wait ....

That might have been amusing if GZ had lied about going to the hospital, or even if going to the hospital was a requirement for fear of great bodily harm.

But as unabogie pointed out:
That's really funny, considering that George is spending something like $7,000 a month on "security" when nothing tragic has happened to him yet, has it? So perhaps you don't need to wait for something terrible to happen before you take threats seriously?

But as unabogie pointed out:

Her going/not going to the hospital has what to do with Zimmerman shooting and killing an unarmed teenager?

Oh wait. She may have lied about it. Therefore, all the rest of her testimony could be a lie as well. I see.

Remember that when George's lies "inconsistencies" are mentioned.

You need to go (re)read witness 6 statements.

I've read it. He describes two people wrestling. And yes, he does describe Martin being on top at one point. And another witness describes Zimmerman being on top at one point. Just like you would expect to see when two people are wrestling.

More details from Witness 6:
When they were wrestling, with their hands, it looked like almost a struggle, a hand struggle. If I was on top of you, you know, just kinda wrestling around trying to get a position of some sort maybe, that's all I could, you know, see with the hands for the most part...
There were no, um, you know, punches at that point or any hands flare, you know, in the air. It just more of looked like it was wrestling, but he was on top at that point.

Sounds like he got a pretty good look at the action. And yet somehow he missed the part where Zimmerman was sliding around on his back while having his head repeatedly slammed onto the concrete sidewalk.

Equating Witness 6's account with Zimmerman's claim that he was helplessly trapped under Martin while being repeatedly punched, smothered, and repeatedly having his head slammed onto the pavement is about as disingenuous as equating the multiple witness accounts of an argument with Zimmerman's claim that there was merely a quick three-sentence exchange.
