I think They changed the plan from mini nukes to thermate late in the planning stages, and the nuclear department just didn't get the memo.

It is also possible that the nukes were acquired at at a stage where it was too late to remove the thermite?
I am not sure where the spacebeams fit in, but it is likely that none of the departments were willing to abandon their plans and at the end everybody just ran solo and destroyed the buildings in their own way.

There must be some nasty stories to tell about the interdepartmental fights in the months leading up to 9/11.

I'm, not certain that ou fully appreciate the power of perceptinion
. The perception that the American Government is corrupt almost beyond belief is becoming the accepted view around the world. Perhaps ypu have another view ?

I cannot find the video referred to by Gourley on his site yet. It takes kids in their basement less time to upload a video to youtube. Even if Gourley, as a busy lawyer, does not have time in his day to do it I would think that Jones, with this type of thing being actually what he does for a living, could have done it for Gourley. Surely Jones has an ftp site to which Gourley could post the video and someone at jonmes' office could post it to youtube. It would literally take minutes to accomplish.

That perception does not provide any verification that the American government perpetrated or purposely allowed the events of 9/11 to unfold.

There is a level of corruption in all governments. It's the nature of the beast. It doesn't prove a damn thing when it comes to 9/11.

I believe that's an argument from incredulity, no?

Indeed! I believe that most Canadians look to the south and ask WTF are they doing???
Whether its the fact that you take over a year to run an election and several weeks to bother installing the new guys, to the fact that your elected leaders are all so desparately afraid of alienating anyone that they get nothing done. Its like the guy who is standing on the roof of a burning building and all he has to do is jump across a 18 inch gap to the next building and he'll be safe. Yet he won't do it because he is afraid of falling in the gap.

This is what got the US banking and investment industry the werewithal to collapse the mortgage sector. Congressmen and Senators passed bills allowing what is clearly insane, sub-prime mortgage lending on the flimsy assumption that real estate will always appreciate. More sales resulted and thus prices went up until..........defaults began sinking this ship of fools. Several years ago when I learned that one could mortgage a house for the entire buying price at a rate lower than prime in the USA my first thought was that this was insane, not that I wished a Canadian could get the same deal.
The US obsession with the religion of their elected leaders is another thing that looks like a very distinct oddity to non-Americans.

So by no means is the widespread wonderment about what the hell America is doing focused on the events of 9/11. The closest thing that touches this arena is the complete balls-up the US made of its involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq. Those are the direct fault of three people, in order of direct responsibility they are, IMHO, Don Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, and G.W. Bush. Rumsfeld because he believed he knew better than carreer military leaders, Cheney because he believed Rumsfeld, and Bush because as POTUS he went along with it.

Yes it is. It is bill's stock in trade along with confirmation bias.
Political (gov't) and military fault in the events of 9/11 lie in the realm of incompetance, cover up in the aftermath is one of trying to limit knowledge of that incompetance.
