complaints about TAM6

I was so flummoxed by those great legs that all I could do was snap a fuzzy photo of the cowboy hat.

"Sigh" you know it's a sad state of affairs when it's only Kittynh that has evidence of my leg flashing during TAM.

I very much enjoyed the Skeptics Society "Environmental Wars" conference.

For the record, I concur, for the most part.

Though, I didn't like Crichton's portion.

I doubt I will make it to the next one (the Skeptic Society's one about "Big Questions"), though. Too many other things to do that are of higher priority, for me.

I left Vegas around 1 pm, and it took me 60-90 minutes to get through the 10 miles or so past the Nevada border. Some kind of accident that resulted in a transport on its side in the ditch. The rest of the way was fine, though.

I remember this complaint all the way back to TAM2 that I attended. The current solution that allows last minute changes is to require that all presentations be on memory sticks. That way, the presenter can make last minute changes yet all he/she has to do is plug the stick in and carry on.

....and save the file several times in different formats so that no matter what kind of OS they plug into, one of them's bound to work.

Hey we students are expected to do that all the time, so don't knock it. A failed presentation due to incorrect format often means a failing grade, no excuses.

It was discussed among some of us first-TAMers that there be tables set aside just for the first-TAMers during meals, so that we can find each other.

I second the water. I brought bottled water from home, but a roommate said the hotel water was gross.

I third the sore throats, but not due to any viral activity. Mine was due to being in a smoke-filled hotel for five days after living for years in a state where indoor smoking is illegal.
