Comic strip a conspiracy myth

William: I'm sure you have me on ignore (like you said, but)

[derail]

An ad hom is this "You like Voyager, so your wrong." Specfically, an insult that you use to discredit an argument.

However, this is not an ad hom "You're an idiot for liking Voyager." That's a plain insult.

[/derail]

1. I don't use the ignore function.

2. It's an Ad Hom.

3. I can't discuss (see the blue wording in my signature below)

Is anyone else starting to worry that William really does think we're all out to get him and that he might have one helluva persecution complex?

Or are we still just saying troll?

For crying out loud William, there's no punchline. Don't you know anything about narrative storytelling or comedy?

CT's can't make jokes. I think it is part of the pathology. They also don't construct coherent stories that have a beginning, middle and conclusion. Again, part of the pathology.

But they can be the most hilarious, the stundies are proof of it.

They just need to be dead serious and completely natural. William is trying too hard to look intelligent, it doesn't work.

Willie, just be natural.

I'd go with persecution complex. In the few, generally inconsequential interactions I've had with him, he's already called me on my "hostile tone" and such. He seems to assume everybody's ganging up on him even when it just ain't so. I'd say, if you can't stand to have it pointed out that you're wrong, even in the most minor respect (well, compared to Kirkman anyway!), then be somewhere else.

Rolfe.

It's the same with homoeopaths.

I often think it's a shame the Stundies are only open to CT posts. Homoeopaths are such a rich seam. Do you think we should start a similar award for them? Call it the Xantas or something? Or the Kumars? (No, too common a name.)

Who's he?

Art Forartsik. Never heard of him? Big in Hollywood in the 30s.

Rolfe.
