Comey is a petty idiot

I notice all the Trumpers in the thread are doing is name calling. Not much in the way of refuting with evidence what Comey says.

For those who don't care to click on the link, let me summarize it.

James Comey helped Donald Trump win the election, therefore his book sucks.

That review says so, so, much about the state of political discourse in America today.

No idea what article you are summarizing but here is the actual take away from that article:

“James Comey should have delayed release of his book until after the Mueller investigation is concluded and after he had fulfilled his duty to justice as a crucial witness and central player in the sordid events that Mueller is investigating.”

Perhaps you will wish to reconsider your post.

The Trump Personality Cult is one of the most dangerous threats that Democracy in the US has ever faced.
it is like something out of Orwell.
Indeed. While every POTUS has his defenders, the sort of mindless Trump adoration we see today is quite unlike what we saw during Nixon's downfall. Thanks to the internet and the post-factual world we live in, I suppose.

He’s a Republican, so of course he’s got petty and idiotic streaks. It’s one of the defining traits. It is, however, amusing to see those who typically cheer pettiness and idiocy the loudest blow up when even a wisp of it is directed at the pettiest, most idiotic, Republican of them all.

Lol. So you haven't read it.

Figures.

It's not available to the general public until next Tuesday. Some news organisations, journalists etc, have been provided with advance copies for review. So no-one here has read it yet.

Contemplating buying it.

I think that might have been his point. Though I dare not speak for anyone but myself. That's the impression I got is that TBD started a spittle soaked thread about how petty Comey is with regards to writing a book that he hasn't even had the opportunity to read.

I understand. It is entertaining.

Rachel Maddow sorta implied that MSNBC's copy fell off of a truck, so to speak.

Sell your book sport

How come the idea that someone is doing something for money is supposed to discredit Trumps enemies, but is lauded as a virtue for Trump and his allies? Even if he is motivated by making a buck, that's an all American cocktail of free speech and capitalism, right?

Books like that have been published about every POTUS in living memory, but it's only a problem this time because deep down you know your guy is a crook, you know he stinks of corruption, you know his crooked dealings won't stand up if enough light is focused on them, and you know the only possible defense of the indefensible is a pre-emptive offense against anyone and everyone who doesn't salute the gangster in chief.

So transparent.

But Dear Leader condemned the book, and Dear Leader is always right.

Right. I knew sheeple like that existed. I had no idea the numbers were so large.

If so, it was pushed off the truck very delibertly in front of CNBC headquarters.

I like Maddow but she is full of BS here. You know damn well the publisher made sure that the major news organizations got advanced copies of the book. They are not going to pass up a Free Marketing Bonanza like that...
