I take it the irony of saying they are hiding the juicy stuff escaped you in light of Hillary's destruction of documents.

Wait, I'm confused. I thought that we have an email thread because the emails are so important and that they are a stand alone issue not related to the Benghazi! Affair.

Ah, thanks. Yes, I was confused. I thought "emails" would merit a post in the "emails" thread. I now see that they were so important to the discussion in the Behghazi!! thread that you needed to post the detailed analysis over there.

But, wait! There's no post over there. Why do you hate Freedom? I went looking for an astute analysis of the emails related to Benghazi and find that there's nothing new in the thread for several days.

Now I'm really confused. I was sure avid readers would be chomping at the bit to hear this new evidence. Any idea when you'll get around to this? I realize it's hard defending every GOP misdeed in a dozen threads, but your avid readers really are all a-twitter anticipating the results. Or will this be released in mid 2016, like Gowdy's findings... say, thirty minutes after the Dem nominating convention?

Alas, I could see your point a little, but perhaps you could tantalize those of us that are just participating in this thread with a few highlights of Clinton's miscreant behavior with regard to emailgate as juicy details from the newly released emails surface.

In the entirety of 2012 before the September 11 attack, Clinton and her staff exchanged just 35 emails that the secretary of state evidently deemed relevant to the issue of Benghazi.

Hillary Clinton's Damning Emails Could End Her Candidacy

It looks like a pure political hit piece to me, but perhaps somebody without my partisan view of the world can explain why there is a single damning thing based on the content of the emails in the piece beyond the title. Who knew the right wing was capable of the same sort of misrepresentation of the underlying facts that the headline writers at HuffingtonPost routinely engage in?

Clinton went to extraordinary lengths to keep her supposedly public emails — she was a public employee, after all — private.

Agreed, however the title of the article implies that the article is about what is in Clinton's emails, not the fact that she had her own email server. About the first third of the article attempts to use emotional representations and misrepresentations to attack Clinton over her handling of her emails, so there is nothing here new or associated with the content of the emails.

Worse still, when the emails suddenly became an issue and Congress asked to see them, she conveniently erased a hard drive. You know, an accident.

A pure lie, I believe. Nobody has alleged the server was erased by accident. Clinton claims it was erased after the emails were removed.

Blumenthal completely contradicts the phony story,which Clinton and others concocted, of a spontaneous uprising resulting from the video that we mentioned earlier.

This is a lie as well. Rice's testimony was based on CIA intelligence and was vetted by the CIA. She repeatedly said there was an ongoing investigation. This sentence is nothing but a repetition of the standard Republican attempt to exploit the Benghazi attack for their partisan political purposes. Where in the emails does it advance the theory that Clinton was involved in an effort to concoct a phony story?

There is nothing in the emails described in this article that furthers the case against Clinton beyond what was known. And what was known was that Clinton engaged in some shady behavior with regard to the use of a private email server and that the Republicans against the interests of truth and against the interests of the country continue to exploit the Benghazi tragedy for their partisan purposes. The Republican reliance on phony scandals to attack the Obama administration is a testimony to how scandal free the Obama administration has been. Benghazi would have long since faded if the Republicans had a real scandal to exploit. Instead they exploit the tragic death of four Americans who were trying to do their job for the country in the best way they knew how. It is shameless partisan politics at its lowest.

I read IBD, for one strange reason for a left-wing antiwar tree hugging borderline pacifist.... They have coverage, of Congressional Medal of Honor ceremonies. Very touching and very inspirational. (I'm getting soft in my old age.)

I occasionally click on their other material, but it's a little hard to swallow. Their "hard news" is always about stocks and the economy. Not surprising, as they're basically a funnel for book sales for the owner/publisher. Most of their political commentary is Op-Ed stuff, and while they apply the Murdoch approach (employ a liberal and sit them in the most visible seat possible), the bulk of their commentary is hard to the right and has a degree of ODS.

Avid readers will recall a few weeks ago that I pointed out how completely ridiculous it was for Sullivan to claim that Hillary and crew had never used the word spontaneous, less than a week after after saying that Susan rice was on topic expressing "our view" that it was spontaneous.
