Ed clintonemails.com: Who is Eric Hoteham?

Govt policy on technology is dramatically behind where technology actually is today. I don't see that changing anytime soon. And being behind in technology and budget etc probably hampers many people from doing their job effectively, and I imagine that many policies are ignored due to expedience, not malice or intent to deceive.

At the end of the day, this isn't too far off perhaps. It needs to be updated. I took a little time to see how this issue played out on the news some more and... Putting aside my personal gripes with partisanship, I'm increasingly feeling that the Benghazi scandals' taking far too much precedence in this matter and overshadowing the bleeding obvious issues that are more immediately critical as implications of her use of the emails.

As far as "Hillary" herself goes, this scandal's impact IMO is going to be determined by two factors:

1) Does she run for office again? POTUS? Or congress?
2) Does she make any promises that this could very well contradict?

It may have more or less impact depending on what she campaigns on, and ultimately it's a voter trust issue at that point.

It doesn't seem like legality can be pinned on her... and Benghazi - while I consider it an issue - is having it's number of tentacles grossly cliche'd and exaggerated, weakening IMO any essence of a case the politicians in that group might have had on it.

As I've noted a few times already... there's an argument to be had over her use of the secondary emails. And they can - and have been - taken farther than they should have been. And if that results in humiliation of any kind or voter apathy towards the party pursuing this, it's something they reap upon themselves.

BREAKING NEWS: Trey Gowdy formally requests that Hillary turn over the cowboy server for independent inspection.

Rope that doggie Trey!

your link said:
Rep. Elijah Cummings, the top Democrat on the Benghazi Committee, said the request “seem designed to spark a fight with a potential presidential candidate rather than following the standard practice in congressional investigations.”

That seems rather typical with today's Republicans, doesn't it?

Yeah, no kidding. Presumptive presidential candidate Clinton desperately tries to prevent governmental transparency.

What a scumbag

Yes, I suppose that's one way to spin it.

If only she turned over her homeboy cow-brew server, I am sure it's simply the lynchpin to the whole benghazi investigation.

The point of turning it over , after she has already claimed to have deleted or turned over all emails would be to provide what exactly, as far as goody is concerned ?

skeptics are skeptical. I would not trust Hillary and her phalanx of lawyers as far as they trust bill in a roomful of new interns.

Oh, is Gowdy a skeptic ? And this is all just to satisfy his skepticism ? That's the point of turning over the server ???

Not Breaking News - Gowdy Won't Release The Emails He Currently Has

How's that for visibility, Trey? Afraid that the "avid reader" will be able to see that you have hundreds, if not thousands of emails on Libya and Benghazi and that they cover huge swaths of the dates in question?

Are we to take Hillary's his word for it that they have everything that's pertinent to State business there are missing emails? Seems we're supposed to believe Trey and not believe Hillary. All Trey has to do is to release the documents that he's complaining about and then everyone will be able to see the glaring gaps, right?

Or does Trey's request really amount to a fishing expedition, as partisans suspect? "Nope, got nothing here. Let's get some more emails to look through; there's GOT TO BE SOMETHING!!"

ETA: So, no. Neither Gowdy nor his partisan peanut gallery are skeptical, not in the sense we mean around these parts. Forming a conclusion and then looking for supporting evidence is actually the antithesis of skepticism.

BWHAHAHAHAHA!

Nailed that one.

Like leaving bread crumbs out for a bird....

So you got nothing? Instead of answering questions, you highlight a word and giggle?

Why won't Trey show you, the avid reader, the contents of the emails he's already got. Hillary's said that State can release all of them. The Dems on the committee have asked for them. Why won't Trey show what he has (or what he doesn't have to task him with the same thing you're tasking Clinton with). Surely the thinking conservatives will be able to see right away that he's absolutely right and she's hiding key messages from key dates.

Or does he and do you think that the multiple thousands of emails on Libya and Benghazi might just show that this is all weak sauce.

The email discussion needs to be had. The policies need to be changed. The cowboy servant is not the tool (albeit, he is a tool) to get this accomplished, though.

.

it was funny, you have been repeatedly littering this thread with ad hominems and personal attacks, and managed to hit yourself in your own cross fire. That was hilarious!

Why won't Hillary turn over the server? That seems to be the only thing holding up the release of all the records, not just the ones Hillary's team "generously" decided not to destroy

I asked you first. (And you don't know what an ad hom is. That's been established.)

Let's ask Hillary why she won't turn over her server. Since that question is being put to her right now, I'll bet we get an answer. Now how about Trey not showing the content that he wants us all to believe is so egregiously honest? You seeking an answer for that?

It's Whitewater redux. Or the Clarence Thomas hearings redux if you want to pick one that's a black eye for progressives. You're supposed to be looking into specific things, but you cast your net as wide as possible in the hopes of dredging something up from the muck that you can use against the target. (I don't like Clarence Thomas. I still don't think the confirmation hearings were a great moment in American history.)

 Says the guy who uses "partisan" and "rabid partisan" as if it was a real argument.

I think Hillary should have offered to make her server available long ago, and that Gowdy should release all the emails (because there are experts like me that might be able to glean some additional information from them)

I know Gowdy will release them. I also believe Hillary will hold on to the server until hell or high water

I don't think you actually could know that.

But I'm curious as to what what your explanation is to why he hasn't even released what he has so far ?

You don't negotiate with terrorists, and you don't let the perp dictate public opinion by releasing only what the suspect wants you to release, while otherwise refusing to cooperate.

Gowdy is a hell of an experienced prosecutor. Perfect guy for the job.

He's got an 'R' next to his name? That means he can be trusted! No worries. It'll happen! No skepticism or partisanship needed!
