I find it odd that people don't see any difference between clearly marked classified material and that marked classified at a later time. Perhaps they believe that Hillary should have used her witchcraft to look into the future?
The GOP members of Congress very much care. It's one of the talking points of why they despise her so much.
It's probably too late for Clinton to repair the damage, but she can certainly stop digging the hole that she's in. 66% of people don't trust her. Does she want that number to be 80%? The bully pulpit is one of the most powerful tools a President has. But if people think you're a liar and they don't like you, they'll just tune you out.
Look at my previous post.
Good interview with former Attorney General Michael Mukasey where he explains that Hillary Clinton should have been prosecuted based on the evidence summarized by FBI director James Comey.
It would seem that Comey's representation that "no reasonable prosecutor" would bring such a case is rather dubious.
Look at Comey's actual words. Was X true? No. Does that mean Y lied. No.
In addition a lot is being made over "should have known" and '3 had small marks in the text', when they did not have headings that confidential material has.
There's another issue here. These nitpicks have received coverage on just about every news program on every news channel for several days. Trump has had similar coverage on his confabulated (or false memory if you wish) plane with money video. Trump's lies vs mistakes are so numerous, each is diluted with the others. Clinton, OTOH, has this one mistake/lie but it is reported on as if she's the most dishonest person in the world.
Clinton rationalized the server. Net security was an issue at the State Department. Compare that to Trump's life as a con man.
Al Franken used to have a game on his radio show called "Truth, Lie, or Weasel" He would read quotes from Republicans and ask callers to identify which category fit the quote.
I would grant that many of Hillary's comments were in the "weasel" category, or maybe even the "Leasel" category. (On the radio show, this would trigger a recording from "The Sound of Music")
On the other hand, I'm just not outraged about anything she did and, to return to an earlier theme, I have faith that the FBI staff are honest, conscientious, and intelligent. If they say there's nothing to see there, except "extreme carelessness", I"ll buy that, and "extreme carelessness" isn't enough to make me vote for either Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders
Speaking of mistakes, remember when you were promising that the only way that Hillary wouldn't got to prison is if Obama pardoned her?One mistake? Hahahahahahahahaa!
In a different thread, someone used the word "dissemble", and I think that's a good word to describe what she did.
Also, dissembling isn't always bad. It's a bit like "spin".
So when she said no classified data, she meant no data that was marked as classified, using proper markings. That's the truth. Her answer is misleading. The Republican variant of the description is misleading. Is her answer all that bad? I suppose that is for each individual voter to decide, but it's odd that the degree of outrage about the answer is so closely correlated with opinions about economic policy and gay marriage.
Curious, you don't care that she lied repeatedly often and avidly?
"So when she said no classified data, she meant no data that was marked as classified, using proper markings."
That is ridiculous. She said there was " There is no classified material. So I’m certainly well-aware of the classificationrequirements and did not send classified material."
then it turned out that there was so she modified her lies, then it turned out she lied about that too.
But you think "dissembling isn't always bad."
That is a money quote!
TRUE!
Odd that HRC sycophants can't admit it now? They have won in the saddest of ways! Like Charlie Sheen won!
But you think "dissembling isn't always bad."
That is a money quote!
If we were politicians, it would be called a "sound bite". And when taken out of context, it could be used to suggest that one thing was said, although, in reality, something else was said.
That's one popular way of dissembling.

What will you say when the FBI doesn't prosecute her for perjury for "lying" to the Benghazi Committee? Maybe she paid them off again? No it isn't.
She was lying and hasn't stopped.
Sound bite?![]()

Hillary Clinton's negatives don't go up when she is involved in a scandal. They go up whenever she asks for a more responsible job. After Hillary is in the new job her negatives go down again.
An interesting theory is that this is rooted in sexism. Hillary clearly does not believe in sticking to gender appropriate work.

But it does mean that it's not true, or even truthful, which is what Hillary claimed Comey said.
This ONE mistake/lie? Yeah, no. She's made a lot more than that, and it's not a vast right-wing conspiracy.
One can tell what one believes to be the truth, yet the statement is false.
You clearly believe that Clinton lies more than an average politician.
She does not. Therefore, your implications are false. Does this make you a liar, or untruthful?
