The top story on CBS Radio National News?

AG Lynch will accept the recommendations of FBI and senior prosecutors on whether to charge in the Clinton Email Fiasco.

Thanks Bill Clinton! You are the gift that keeps on giving.

(of course, if Hillary is in the joint, that means full time party for Slick Willy!

We'll see. The fix still could be in. Maybe someone can explain why they couldn't be using Bill's "spontaneous" airplane visit as cover for Lynch to back out of an already rigged non-prosecution.

Of course. No silly facts can actually sway your opinion.

Jinkies, are there any new facts that would make it remotely likely that the FBI is going to refer charges ?

You don't find the meeting odd? Bill just happened to be in Phoenix playing golf? In 110 degree heat? And they had to have a 30 minute meeting in a private plane sitting on the tarmac? Which neither of them flew in on, apparently. Something's up. Not sure what. But the uncertainty about the outcome has increased, and given the confidence with which people were claiming that there would be no indictment, I think the uncertainty increases the probability that there is an indictment.

ETA: My take is that Loretta Lynch called the meeting to tell Bill face to face that she was not going to veto an indictment recommendation, and that he should be expecting one. I think she felt that she owed him that as a common courtesy. I realize that this is speculation on my part, but I think it's more likely than that they were sharing a cigar.

Heck, Bill used to an attorney, maybe he was there as part of the plea bargain negotiations.

Honored to participated in a Latino Leaders roundtable w/ President @billclinton today in Phoenix #LatinosOnTheMove

playing golf? In 110 degree heat?

Because it's 110 in phoenix in the morning ? Do tell...

Ms. Lynch said at a press conference that the Clinton meeting was unplanned. Mr. Clinton was apparently waiting to fly out of the Phoenix airport when Ms. Lynch’s plane coincidentally landed there. The former president then walked over to the attorney general’s plane to speak to Ms. Lynch and her husband.

So it seems they met on the plane she flew in on.

Something's up.

No.

Not sure what. But the uncertainty about the outcome has increased, and given the confidence with which people were claiming that there would be no indictment, I think the uncertainty increases the probability that there is an indictment.

Yeah Lynch stepping aside actually changes nothing.

Really ?

It seems to change the possibility of the FBI recommending charges and the AG declining to pursue.

Do you disagree ?

By promising to abide by the recommendations, Lynch directly addressed worries by Clinton critics and others that she — as an Obama administration appointee — could ultimately overrule the investigators.

Stupid WaPo, didn't they get the memo this changes nothing ?

By changes nothing, I suspect it means he thinks she's guilty but will not be charged, and it doesn't matter what happens. This is a skeptics forum after all.

Jeez, I guess the blood rushed to the heads of the crackerjack excuses and alibis team of the HDS Brigade.

Parse the statement again. "..... FBI and Senior Prosecutors...".

The FBI has no prosecutors. Those would be DoJ senior prosecutors. And they work for,...... who?

C'mon guys. You're usually a bit quicker on the uptake. It's a conspiracy, I tell ya. It was brought about with this timing because of the stupid meeting in Phoenix. Lynch has been purportedly planning to issue such a statement for a while, but the Clinton meeting in PHX made it necessary to do it now. And now Bill can spin it that this is what they were discussing and that he recommended she do the right thing just to clear up any possibility of appearances of conflict.... or whatever.

I wish the HDS sufferers would start their own thread about "conspiracies" elsewhere.

Here we deal with breaking news and facts.

Say here's some more Breaking News:

"I certainly wouldn't do it again because I think it has cast this shadow over what it should not, over what it will not touch," Lynch said at the event, adding, "It's important to make it clear that that meeting with President Clinton does not have a bearing on how this matter will be reviewed and resolved."
The assurances from Lynch follow criticism stemming from the meeting with Bill Clinton. Clinton joined Lynch aboard her plane while both were on the tarmac. Lynch said the pair mostly talked about grandchildren and a little golf.
"It really was a social meeting, and it was, it really was in that regard," she said. "He spoke to me, he spoke to my husband for some time on the plane, and then we moved on."
But she said she understood why the incident caused concerns, and said it was "painful" to her that the Justice Department's integrity was called into question.
"No matter how I viewed it, I understand how people view it," she said.
The meeting instantly drew criticism from Republicans and even some Democrats,

Hopefully someone will type "pull it"!

I don't understand how Loretta Lynch could say she plans to accept the FBI's recommendations on whether or not to charge Hillary.

This is a security review of an email server, obvs there's no charges involved! Lynch has got some serious HDS. Tsk tsk.

I'm not really following. Bill Clinton was in Phoenix for something (and maybe some golf, which as a local I can assure you is normal even in this heat although I can't for the life of you explain WHY) and stepped over to the other plane to say hello and chat.

I feel like the most you could say is that he was trying to exert influence by being friendly? For whatever that could possibly gain. If it was an actual shadowy conspiracy thing they wouldn't have been so stupid and clumsy about it, right?

Do we have some actual reason to believe that they went to all the trouble of making a fake coincidence at the airport? Because if not we should treat this as what it looks like - Bill said "Hey, you're in AZ too? How's the family? How's your golf game?" and caused some awkwardness.

You didn't really understand what she said did you? She's taking the same approach I and others. Let's let the evidence drive the conclusion.

In the world of conspiracy theorists, everything is evidence of a conspiracy.

In the world of conspiracy theorists, everything is evidence of a conspiracy.

Conspiracy, right. That explains the following:

Lynch bowed to the public pressure caused by her impromptu meeting Friday morning, announcing that she will accept whatever recommendation federal prosecutors make in the email case. Lynch repeatedly acknowledged in an interview with The Post's Jonathan Capehart at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado that her meeting with Bill Clinton had cast a shadow over the investigation. After much prodding from Capehart, she even basically acknowledged the meeting never should have happened in the first place.

"I certainly wouldn't do it again," she said.

Nothing to see here folks! Just the Attorney General admitting she ********** up and getting spanked by a reporter.

In other news, when did Bill Clinton turn into such a liability?
