But regarding your comment about being Chomsky being a self-hating Jew. I doubt that is naturally the case. It rarely is. We just call them 'self-hating' to try and prevent them from spoiling our plans. Chomsky is sadly highly regarded in Gentile circles.

I find that club soda is good for removing wine stains. But you have to use it quickly. If there's any residual stain left, soak it in white vinegar, then rinse with very cold water.

Prof. Chomsky was attempting to enter via Jordan, to deliver a lecture at Birzeit University.

Denying him access seems rather silly, and is likely to prove highly damaging to Israel's reputation.

Our reputation is already bad. Any moral person would be indignant what we achieve. We don't care to a point. We can get away with it. Chomsky is poison to our cause. He is misguided. An intelligent man and a waste.

What are your views on Chomsky? Is he a good man or a misguided Jew? Should he be allowed in Israel? It seems limited to call people troll because they have views you don't agree with. I'm sure Chomsky means well for himself, but he is damaging.

The topic is Chomsky's being barred from entering an Israeli administered territory.

I'd like our friends from Israel to comment on, confirm or deny, how personal habits influence passing of customs/borders. Roman Polanski, for example, had a personal habit that would cause him significant trouble at a few customs/border checkpoints himself.

I'd like to hear whether or not Mr Chomsky's diet would influence his ability to enter Israel.

My hypothesis: If he eats well prepared scrambled eggs, as Piggy so kindly outlined, his entry would be less likely be controversial. Were he to eat ham and eggs, however, is it not possible that his habits would evoke distaste and even outrage among some of the more radical Orthodox Jews in Israel? It is possible that an official, sympathetic to the orthodox cause, would find an excuse to bugger up the entry, or claim something out of order in his paperwork, as a political manifestation of intense objection to his cavalier flouting of keeping kosher.

Things are not always as they seem. The newspapers rarely tell us the whole story. With that in mind, is it not possible that ZA's objection to Piggy is linked to keeping kosher as well?

I eat ham with my scrambled eggs as I don't really give a hoot what an animal walks on before I eat it. Same goes with shrimp. All of which are available to buy in Israel (as in not black market). But I guess there's a bit more to this ploy than a simple question about personal customs and habits.
