I'm seeing more and more posts on several pages on Facebook regarding this topic, all providing links to "proofs" that result to be the opinion of some guys on YouTube...

I find it fascinating, that people is willing to believe almost ANYTHING and that they take as PROOFS the opinion of others and they learn to see the EVIDENCE of such beliefs in the trails, that are effectively real of course.

I have jumped in to discussions with them, asking if they have actually fly, to see how many have watched the condensation that happens at high altitude when the wings cut the air... but... they obviously ignore that fact, and focus on their... "evidences"...

I go to school with someone whom believes in Chemtrails. I opened up my AMT textbook (published by ASA) and told them to point it out where the chemicals being stored for it was. That should have ended it there but they moved on to the fuel being the source for them. I'm currently trying to explain to them a) what that chemical make up is versus what they believe it is, b) what that make up is actually used for, and c) just how insanely hot jet turbine engines get.

Moral of the story for Chemtrail believers: Don't get into it with someone actually studying to work on the engines in question.

You guys may also want to research chem trails, if any of it is still accessible. These "chemical trails" are being sprayed, causing abnormal weather events, such as the recent ice event in Minnesota, the likes of which, i have never even heard of. There was also the disastrous weather in the north eastern states, causing a major league impact there. Recently, the deadly tornadoes in Texas. One woman tried to bring this to light, and was threatened for it. I could care less if they threaten me, i tell it like it is.

There is a guy in Tucson with a pick up covered in chemtrail signs.

"Cloudy Today, Clear Skies Tomorrow!"
"Allergies!? Look UP!"

There are dozens of signs like that. I just have to shake my head.

I love the "I've never heard of" argument. I am willing to bet there are thousands of things that person has ever heard of.
 
It is deeply depressing. I have a friend - a scientist, no less, albeit a geologist - who is very much into such conspiracy theories (9/11 was a govt plot, the powers-that-be are planning on massively depopulating the world and enslaving us, swine flu is engineered and the flu vaccine is designed to damage us etc etc) and, naturally enough, he also believes in chemtrails.

I pointed out that contrails have been naturally occurring for decades and sent him photos of contrails over London during the Battle of Britain but he insisted that there is a difference and that chemtrails are from commercial planes that are spraying as they fly overhead.

When I asked him why, he said that it was to poison people, to weaken their immunity. I pointed out that, with various winds blowing in different directions from several up in the sky to down to the ground, any aerosol sprayed from a commercial airliner would be widely dispersed before it hit the ground. He didn't pay any attention.

I pointed out that there wasn't any room on a commercial aircraft to fit the tanks that would be required for such an operation. He didn't listen.

I pointed out that commercial airliners are tended by dozens of different people and that it was highly, highly unlikely that any "secret chemicals" would go unnoticed or, conversely, that absolutely everyone was in on the plot. He didn't listen.

I pointed out that, if the powers-that-be wanted to spray things, it would be much, much more effective if they got a fleet of tanker trucks and modified them to spray chemicals whilst driving through cities, ostensibly looking as though they were on their way to deliver fuel or something similar, but actually spraying chemicals through modified upright exhaust pipes, for example. He didn't even bit on that one.

In short, a lot of the people that believe in these things are already in so deep, they already have such a fixed mindset about conspiracies, that they just won't listen even when you logically, rationally try to point out how crazy the theories are.

One time I was at a hippie festival and a few planes flew overhead on a cool day leaving these giant fluffy chemtrails... the general consensus was that they were targeting our gathering because they knew we were awakened.

Hippies, saving the world one dose of LSD at a time.

I miss being a hippie some days...
 
I've been watching Formula One racing for years. The rear wings, especially in damp conditions, give off impressive tip vortices. This was more prevalent in the 80s before aerodynamicists improved the efficiency of their wings.

Either that or Ferrari is part of the Illuminati.
 
The thing that impresses me the more is this... capability of the brain to.. be ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED about something.. We are talking about people who are sold to what they take as IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE... and what's more... they tell me I'm deluded and that I should do "some research"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a scientific fact, 100% factual, that jet engines release chemical byproducts of combustion. Those chemicals linger in the air and eventually make it down to Earth, poisoning our farms, waters, and communities!

Consider me informed by your post, thank you Reactor Drone. I was under the impression that it was the heated engine exposed to the cold air that formed contrails.
