Well, if the show's been cancelled, I'd have thought that'd be a given.
He's the main character.
I think CBS has decided that Sheen is such a trainwreck that there is no guarantee he can show up to make the show, and that it's better to cut their losses rather then have another mid season collapse.
I've never watched it either, but from what I gather he is the central character. It would be like writing Lucille Ball out of I Love Lucy.
.Just a question here: I've never watched Sheen's show. Is Sheen an essential part of it? Or is it what is sometimes referred to as "an ensemble cast?" In other words, if the next episode depicts the other characters telling each other that the Charlie character was abruptly transferred to Detroit or something, would CBS have a chance to keep making zillions of dollars (which, after all, is the only reason they have put up with this guy for so long anyway)?
That explains a lot. I didn't know it was a documentary. The show is about the adventures Sheen's penis has.

The show is about the adventures Sheen's penis has.
And that's about it.
.
There's some other flawed characters to fit in the main character's total lack of interest in anything but getting laid.

I watched the Piers Morgan interview. He licked his lips a lot, or at least it seems to me like he did. Also, those cups on the desk that no one every actually drinks out of? He must have taken at least a dozen drinks during the show. Drug related?
What's his obsession with 'winning'?
.Yes. I don't believe it's an acting stretch for Sheen. It seems he is already in character for the part.
I admit I've watched a few, and enjoyed them. The other cast members, in particular the woman who plays Sheen's mother, has made me laugh out loud.

Not sure, but pvp makes a pretty good parody of it...What's his obsession with 'winning'?
I got a email from a friend who is a career officer in the US Army, and he states..as I already guessed....that SHeen's massive mangling of military terminology is his rants is a prime source of comedy in his unit. I think that goes not only for every unit in the US Army, but in the Navy, Air Force and Marines as well.
Let's not neglect the Coast Guard.
You bet.
One of signs that drugs have done permanent damage to your mental processes is that even if you are not directly under the influence, you often behave as if you were. This is not going to end well for Sheen.
