And, before his death, some SNP members had tweeted "pished again?" or "on the bottle" when discussing his frequent absences. Which of course, nobody had ever said about him before.
 
It is indeed. And published in the Mail. And clearly highlighting his drink problem.

Presumably their position is that MPs with a drink problem should be allowed to stand unopposed so as to no exacerbate said problem. I can see some unintended consequences arising from that ;)
