OMG! Gaetz is saying BLM protestors are violent but the protestors today were peaceful, or at least that Trump called on them to be peaceful. And then claims that many of the rioters today were actually Antifa posing as Trump supporters.

And then on to election conspiracy theories. And somehow talks about honoring the rights of states.

What a disgusting piece of trash.

I literally had to look up who that was after catching most of his speech because he just reminded me of Jonah from Veep. The house really is a playground for children when I tune into them sometimes.
 
I see they are still speaking. So they objected to Georgia? Or some other state?

Are you sure? I was watching the Senate feed and the Senator from Hawaii said that both the House and the Senate had both voted the first objection down. Unless I'm mistaken somehow. I'm jumping around reading other news.

A lot of yes votes from GOP in the house.

Reps run every 2 years, they had to start campaigning again the day after the election.
 
Looks like the House has held firm. 114 "yea" votes on the objection, with 21 Republicans left to count.

Time expired a long time ago, but votes are still being recorded. Not sure how that system works.

I'm watching the C-SPAN live stream. I don't know if there is a delay. Time has expired for voting but it takes a few minutes for the finally vote tally to come in (I don't know why, but that is the way it always is.)

It is currently showing the objection defeated in the House at 115-275. It was already rejected in the Senate (see my post above).
 
1 Democrat votes yes on the resolution.

I'm guessing that guys in for one term. I see a primary election in his future.

But who knows? Some people have short memories.

ETA: Maybe a wrong button push or a glitch. The one Democratic vote has gone away now.

And when the democrats took the house a while back, they didnt do it by flipping 20 deep red seats. You win races against the moderates of the other party and then complain about the so few moderates in the house for that party.

Ironically, staffers and reps serving functions (that lower bench) are writing totals, affixing their signatures, entering data at screens, and other steps in...
