It was more the part about just shooting people without bothering with a trial that caught my attention. Or maybe the bit about dropping health benefits for smokers, I dunno.

He seems to choose violence as a solution first. That's sort of a non thinking person's choice. The world is quite full of such people and they have brought us where we are today.

To say that we must somehow be of 'equal influence' in order to be critical of such advocates was a position that was not really worth responding to.

Maybe he should drink more.
 
Funny how some people defend Ted Nugent's right to free speech (I did in the military), but just let Cindy Sheehan or Al Franken exercise that freedom and they're nut-jobs looking for a forum.

Frankly, I'm tired of all of these rebels without a clue.

Really? How many people has he shot? Instead how many stories do we have of Ted Nugent, calmly talking with people who wronged him GREATLY who he should have punched out?

How bout when a roadie used his 335 as a lever to move a cabinet? Thats grounds for death, but he didnt even get fired

I like his playing. Weekend Warriors is one of my favourite albums and i hate his opinions.. Ohh well that's life :)

Loved Nugent when I was in the Army from 79 - 82. Saw him 5 times in Germany..the guy toured incessantly and was always a favorite with the troops. I thought he'd pretty much jumped the shark after about 83 or 84. Never liked any of his later stuff. Also after you grow up a little bit you tend to notice that ole Ted never quite keeps pace. As another poster said; Ted is Ted. He's like Peter Pan with a guitar and a big mouth.

The man clearly loves himself...

Saw him live at RFK in 1976, before I had ever heard of him. The following acts - Nazereth, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aerosmith -- were better, but Ted put on a good show. This was before he became a pundit. ;)

Ted is blaming the liberals and lefties I see. Do they include the GOP strategist and other GOP'ers in attendance who felt that way.

Ted is officially qualified IMHO to fill in for Beck, Hannity, or O'Reilly now.

I'm far too busy sewing swastika flags to be a bigot. Sheesh, do you even know what a bigot is? This is analogous to saying that a doctor is bigoted against sick people. Whatever.

It's not like I'm making all of this up, I'm just quoting what he says about himself. At least I didn't call him a liar...

If he were to become sane and made any sense, his rock would probably be different - he could do a duet with Donny Osmond. So I'm ok with him being who he is.

C'Mon, Meph. Ultimately, Ted Nugent is an entertainer. Rock stars can be out there, regardless of their points of view. While I personally think he is a much-needed counterbalance to the hundreds of flaky lefty rock and folk stars, to say his rants carry the weight of an evil dictator is overreaching, IMO.:o
