Do you have any evidence of this rampant transphobia on the gender critical subs or did you read about it on one one of the subs run by paedophiles hiding their tracks?

If by "do you have any evidence" you mean "have I seen it myself?" then the answer is yes. Plenty, thanks.

And is it any better or worse than what I could find right now on Reddit? The real hate sites like r/LGBT and r/trans are sensibly down because of said pedo admins but I reckon I could find something on r/pussypassdenied if I tried

Of course we then have to wonder if these posts you've seen weren't written by these pedo admins in the first place - it would explain why gender critical subs were spammed by pedographic images

Reddit definitely has a content problem in many areas, although I sense a definite agenda in your posts, which I have no desire to feed.

I mean, if you have to go to a massive false flag conspiracy when "transphobic people exist" isn't exactly a statement with no evidence, then the answer is "probably not".

My agenda is that I don't think saying transwomen are not women should be a "content problem" in the way fantasising about beating and humiliating women is

I saw myself provocative posts that were heavily downvoted. Hopefully we'll see some records come out in the future but in the meantime I hope you bear this incident in mind - I certainly will

These people had a reach of millions of not just LGBT children, anyone on on Reddit - it would be very interesting to see if and how they've steered the discourse

That doesn't explain why you think I have to bear this incident in mind. What behaviour of mine do you think this affects?

You seem a bit keen to dismiss my suggestion that this might be false flag transphobia despite one of the admins for Reddit using this reasoning in the past. Sorry if that wasn't the case

I don't really know what "reasoning" you're talking about. If you have evidence that Challenor posted transphobic stuff in order to get subs shut down, then please present it. If you don't, then what "reasoning" are you suggesting she used, and how is that relevant to a false flag operation?

And I'm dismissing your conspiracy theory because a) it would take a lot of alt accounts to post the many transphobic things that were posted, and those accounts would have to be active in a variety of subs spending time talking about unrelated subjects and b) transphobes exist all over the internet and post transphobic things, so transphobic things being posted on the internet doesn't actually require a conspiracy theory to explain it. The more parsimonious explanation is that reddit has posters who are transphobes and who post transphobic things.

I don't have evidence Challenor posted transphobic false flags but they have done so in the past

Creating an alt account takes seconds, probably less so if you're an admin but if you have evidence these were long term accounts and not burners how about you present that? Then we can check the frequency of these posts and whether they were supported by the sub, because anyone can spam hate on Reddit

I don't understand your complaint. Trans people can suffer from PCOS.

Let's see what the pinned post on the still operating PCOS sub says:

https://www.reddit.com/r/PCOS/comments/hmlhjc/rpcos_is_an_inclusive_community/

I have no idea how you would prove this is true, but it strikes me as very plausible. There's a pretty common pattern that unfolds whenever one of these dens of bigotry gets banned from the site. usually the mods/members attempt to make copycat subreddits, which are usually swiftly also banned by the admins. When these copycats fail, they attempt to flock over to some smaller, niche subreddit and take it over.

Sounds like when "GenderCritical" got the boot, all the TERFs came flooding out looking for a new home and caused a few kerfuffles, which were dealt with.

TransWOMEN don't suffer from PCOS. And it was transWOMEN flooding the dub and complaining that it wasn't inclusive enough. Additionally, the GenderCritical sub was NOT a hate sub. GC got banned because trans activists flooded it with reports falsely claiming that every thread in there included child porn.

Additionally, the original mods of PCOS, who were female, were replaced with mods who were male. Because that makes perfect sense.

To put in bluntly, I simply don't believe this is what happened.

When the bad actors are on the TRA side, you NEVER believe it to be true, regardless of any supporting evidence provided to you. On the other hand, you ALWAYS assume that the bad actors must be females, and quickly label them as TERFs and ascribe hatred to them.

Why is that?

If Emily's Cat were a redditor, she would be a member of every "Gender Critical" sub, and would categorise them as "feminist" rather than "transphobic". So you're wasting you're breath with this.

Not every one, I haven't the stamina for that.

Aside from that... yes, a lot of the gender critical content is absolutely feminist in nature, and very little of it is actually transphobic. Some people who consider themselves feminists are people I would consider to be genuinely transphobic. And some gender critical viewpoints do seem to be more "anti-trans" than focused on the harm done to women by having gender stereotypes in the first place.

There seems to be a trend wherein any gathering of females which does not include and center males who identify as women gets labeled "transphobic". Apparently, a subset of males have decided that all feminism must center males.

What evidence? You have nakedly asserted that the PCOS sub was taken over by a bunch of trans activists on a rampage.

I very much doubt any compelling evidence can be found. My brief survey was stymied by deleted threads, deleted comments, and dead links. Can you prove why these moderators were removed and replaced by moderators that advocate a trans-inclusive community?

I have rejected your claim with as much evidence as you have asserted it, which is none.

I find it a bit frightening, as well as deeply disheartening that reddit bans any feminist or female-focused rub that doesn't center or focus on transwomen, or which doesn't accept transwomen as being as much of a woman as females are, because it considers the entire concept of not giving males what they want to be "hateful".

Of course, they've got no problem having a host of subs dedicated to MRAs, male-focused topics, anti-feminist and anti-female sentiment, and a ton of coercive sex and rape-based topics.

Reddit really is a misogynistic hellhole.

Just so we're all talking the language, can you provide a brief description of content that you've seen that you consider to be transphobic?

Reddit is quite bad. There's a handful of very niche, mostly technical communities I visit from time to time, but other than that I avoid it entirely as I find the general culture to be quite toxic.

I don't see anyone claiming that reddit, generally speaking, is well moderated.

My criticism of their most recent purge of hate communities, like the den of TERFs that was GenderCritical, was that they barely even scratched the surface. Every once in a while they catch bad PR for the toxic **** brewing in their subreddits and they lop off a few heads, but it remains a terrible place.
