Buzz lightyear and the JREF Challenge

You have a belief system too, Tricky.
You believe that you can see back in time using the assumptions that have been taught to you.
Not assumptions, Buzz. Evidence. Evidence which has proved to have predictive value time after time. But it is true, everybody has a belief system. One of the principle parts of my belief system is that real things have evidence. That belief has been shown to be accurate in everything I've ever examined. I'd like to make an exception for you, but I'm afraid that would make me a hypocrite.

What if something like your "hollow rock" theory was incorrect, would it make you question your beliefs.
Certainly it would. Though if you look back, I did say it would be extremely unlikely, not impossible, that that rock on top of the peak in that earlier picture you showed me was hollow. I might be wrong, but I'm confident enough of it to put money on it.

Because this rock is on top of a peak, and it is hollow.
That is hardly on the top of a peak. At best it is on the edge of a cliff. Neither is it hollow. some of the rock has been eroded from under the caprock, which is, in fact, solid.

And I would say that it is dishonest to go from showing one picture where you suggest a rock is hollow, to a completely different picture of a different feature. Not that this surprises me.

And my guess is that little dark spot on the front of the "shiva temple" pic is similar. So how about you rock on up there with a good strong telephoto lens and get me a pic.
See if you do really know your stuff.
This is your claim that the rock is hollow, Buzz. You provide the evidence. But even if you found a slightly eroded depression, that is not the same thing as "hollow" Your cliffside cave is still much more rock than air. Unless you are defining "hollow" as "containing a hole of any size".

But I don't have to see if you know your stuff. You've already demonstrated it repeatedly.

Gosh Tricky,......dishonesty! From you, that hurts.
Old Gzuz, could throw any garbage at me and I wouldn't flinch. But for you to doubt my honesty, I am crushed and wounded.

Well as it turns out that hollow rock is hollow. Here is a pic of a friend, chillin inside the rock. At its thinnest, the wall of the cavern is about 3 inches thick.

So Tricky, take those cruel words back. This "rock" is more air than rock.

Is this the rock on the top of the peak or the one on the side of the hill?

And it doesn't matter where the rock is the "thinnest".

But I will apologize and say that the second picture you showed me could be called "hollow". I still stand by my appraisal of the one on the top of the peak.

Say, Gzuz, we're up to epilogue number what, now ?

A whole lot plus one. And with no end in sight.
You can't locate Mr. Lightyear in this reality because he constantly moves. That's not a bad idea per se, but judge for yourself if his realisation of said principle seems to work out for him.

This thread puts the E in JREF.

Well Gzuz, it looks like your dream will soon come true. The "Buzz Lightyear and the JREF challenge" thread might be finally comming to an end, .....(sob).
I am heading off into the boonies for a few weeks, and from the look of it, if a thread isn't posted on in that amount of time, it dies.

Anyway Tricky, thanks for the apology. I don't mind my sanity being questioned, but my honesty,.......no way.
The reason I am going bush is to have a look at a site in the North West of Australia at the Keep River National Park.
Back in the late 90s a group of archeologists wrote a paper suggesting marks that they found on sandstone boulders were of human orign.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/htmlContent.jhtml?html=/archive/1996/09/21/noldy21.html

As these marks look very similar to the marks that I have been looking at, and the fact that I also thought that I was looking at human activity, is very interesting. Hopefully by looking at the marks first hand I will understand them better.
This is a pic of the marks;

On boulders like this one:

This area is very much aboriginal "Rainbow Serpent" country so the whole adventure might be very revealing.
Am not heading off for a couple of weeks, so no cheering yet Gzuz.

Don't forget to pack plenty of "ethnogens", or you won't have half-baked "theories" to spout in this "thread". "Have" a good trip.

There once was a man named buzz
And he did make a whole lotta fuss
With ethnogens loaded
He successfully goaded
Himself into seeing Jesus

In the form of a snake pooping sandstone
While buzzy got drunker and stoned
He still swore for real
Was this whole ordeal
But without evidence, he stayed alone.

Aw Gzuz,.........for me! I don't know what to say, but er....thanks.
Is there a possibility you and the band could put it to music and post it on u-tube?

As for that avatar, Freud would suggest that there was perhaps some obscene undertones, or is it just my perception. If so.............help!!!!

Isn't it "entheogen", not "ethnogen"? Google gives 167,000+ hits for the former, 720 for the latter. I think the latter must be a mis-transcription of the former.

If you had read this thread, you would have understood. Lapsus linguae is buzz lightyear's mother.

Put away the ethnogens, dicks your potatoes and lock up the booze rack: Buzz Lightyear is back in town!

Let the fun begin.
