But the point, and the reason why I got so sick of the old "If they're too stupid to figure it out, they shouldn't vote anyway" garbage is that only the "stupid" voters among the Democrats were given the opportunity to show their "stupidity."sorry, not so much. it was clear to me. if it was not clear to some voters, oh well, no ballot will suffice.
Had a ballot equally as confusing to determine how to vote for Bush been present, you can bet that there would be scores of Republican/Bush voters who were "too stupid" to figure it out too. (And they too would have been ANGRY after learning they voted for Nader, Buchanan, etc.) THAT's where the injustice lied, and it still escapes people somehow.
This is not to say that we should have done a recount of the "Jews for Buchanan"...it's simply a counter to the tired "too stupid to vote" bit.
