It may also be a reference to the fact that some of their Lordships receive farm subsidies from the EU. This is apparently a betrayal of the British people. Brexiteers telling the voters we would get fabulous trade terms from the EU to get them to vote leave and then demanding we leave with no trade terms because that's what the voters wanted is apparently the 'will of the people'.
 
More and more I think the Brexiters don't really care about the economic fallout,and their only reason for supporting Brexit is they don't like foreigners very much. After all, the Wogs begin at Calais....
They are a mirror of the Trump supporters in the UK.

And what would you replace the system with?
Problem is, often "The System Is Broken" means" My Side Lost the election".
 
Pro EU groups and the Liberal Democrats have also been fined. I'm sure you'll also therefore think it appropriate to reduce the remain vote.

They were fined for not having receipts as opposed to overspending but that was only 4% of their spend so I am happy with a 4% reduction in the Remain vote to go along with the 10% reduction in the leave.

Shame it won't happen as we both appear to support this.
 
The fine is capped at 70k. From the same link (hilight added)
The Commission has referred Leave.EU chief executive Liz Bilney to the police, saying it had reasonable grounds to suspect she had committed criminal offences over campaign spending.

Bob Posner, the Commission's director of political finance and regulation, said spending rules were in place to ensure public confidence in democracy and it was "disappointing that Leave.EU, a key player in the EU referendum, was unable to abide by these rules".

"These are serious offences. The level of fine we have imposed has been constrained by the cap on the Commission's fines," he added.

First line:

"The EU forks out over £500,000 a year in pensions to 30 former MEPs and officials in the Lords."

Ceptimus claimed:

"I'm sure that has nothing to do with privileged lords such as Heseltine and Kinnock receiving hundreds of thousands of pounds in EU handouts (paid for by us taxpayers, of course)."

So 30 out of 781 peers - a mere 3.8% - receive EU pensions because they were previously MEPs or EU officials. Not "handouts," but pensions, and paid for by the EU, therefore taxpayers across the EU, not just the UK.

Pro-Brexit fines: £70,000
Lib-Dem fines: £18,000
Pro-Leave fines: £1,250

Apparently the official pro-Brexit group is still under investigation, so the frist figure may well rise, but even as it stands the above list shows who the worst transgressors were.

But such shenanigans doesn't call into question the result of such a close, non-binding referendum at all. Oh no, this is still 'the will of the people'*



*read 'the will of the Dickensian reject portion of the Tory party.

Not just wog but Americsn.
They are having fits. Even the press that is usually fawning over royalty are usind dog whistles in their editorial.

UKIP claim the former MEPs and officials will have their pensions taken away if they don't support the EU.

I'm not sure which is the worst when it comes to marrying into the Royal Family, but the combination of all four has got to leave a mark on the Guardians of Propriety.
