I thought it was officially announced back in the reign of the first President George Bush and maybe even before that. I don't see what people think the big deal is about the New World Order, imagine how nice it would be to have no more wars, international travel, no refugees, probably a new form of government based off of computers and no more currency. According to the good book the root of all evil is caused by the love of money, hence if you get rid of all the money, Get rid of all if not a lot of evil.
As long as people who genuinely cared about sustainability, the earth, and the true power within humanity began to change things for the better, technology and efficiency would skyrocket. Imagine being able to mine all the diamonds in Africa, drill all the oil in the middle East (not needed for much longer as new energy sources freely used), develop socialist like constructions in third world countries with water treatment facilities, electricity, sewage, and streets. We would then be able to work on issues on a galactic scale and work together as one world should modeled by one good example of the International Space Station. The world would then be able to merge resources, technology and minds, working entirely for the advancement of human energy rather than a majority of warring technology producing and focusing on guns, missiles, armies, and armaments made for the destruction of others and global conflict.
