Bill Cosby trial

He didn't get house arrest, good. He's an unrepentant predator. I can't wait until his wife speaks.

Does the wife deserve to be a victim?

Given how she aided in the re-victimization of her husband's victims while enjoying wealth beyond the imagining of most? Let me break out the world's smallest violin.

She's now claiming they used falsified evidence to convict and she's bankrolling an investigation into the trial judge. **** Camille.

Ok, it is always important to see all the parties around these crimes as humans, maybe even his children. I am uneasy with the saintly hang 'em highers with their impeccable lives.

I am not up to speed with Mrs Cosby and I accept she is pursuing a lost cause and misunderstands the vows.

I'm similarly uneasy with the idea that one must be a saint in order to criticize the obviously evil.

Society owns its citizens, and the celebrities are being tapped on the shoulder.
Look at Kavanaugh, he is obviously evil?!

Cosby was sexually assaulted by Kavanagh?
Hah.
Cosby was prosecuted by Allred who was raped by a doctor, and she decided she would not be believed, she had a lovely rape daughter, but has now avenged.

Kavanaugh of course is dead man walking, he should avoid Allred.

I'm having a hard time finding anyone named "Allred" identified as a prosecutor in this case. Do you have a link that could help here?

Was she a prosecutor on this case? I had thought she was in private practice.

Are you just being obtuse? She is obviously the person he's referring to. And yes she is prosecuting the case against Cosby, even if that word is somewhat ambiguous here. She is a lawyer aiding the prosecution and she is moving the case forward.

The word "prosecutor" has a very specific meaning. Unless she's representing the state on the case, she's not a prosecutor. Period.

You need a dictionary. There might be one of those on the internet.

ETA: Actually, I myself just used a dictionary and found you are even more wrong than I thought.

It has a very specific meaning in this context. AFAIK, Gloria Allred has never prosecuted a single criminal.

In any case, who cares if she was the one responsible for pushing this case until it was finally prosecuted to conviction? Does her bias or participation make Cosby any less guilty? Shouldn't everyone be thanking her for helping to get this scumbag what he deserves?

You don't get to declare how the English language works or what context the poster had in mind.

AFAIK, Gloria Allred has never prosecuted a single criminal.
You would know wrong then. She is primarily a prosecutor as far as I can tell. Although I agree that wouldn't be the first word I'd use to describe her. The word "prosecutor" was accurate and fine. Your objection would come in to play if the post had said "District Attorney" or "Public Prosecutor". The word "prosecutor" is an accurate description of her in both mundane usage and legal jargon.

In any case, who cares if she was the one responsible for pushing this case until it was finally prosecuted to conviction?
I care.
Does her bias or participation make Cosby any less guilty?
No.
Shouldn't everyone be thanking her for helping to get this scumbag what he deserves?

Yes, we should be thanking her for prosecuting this case. This also answers your "who cares" question I quoted above. You do.
