Meldrum is an anthropologist.

I have a hard time accepting that a tenured professor in his position is a liar, a hoaxer or a fraud.

Then you have a hard time accepting reality. :boggled:

Seriously man - tenured professors are no less likely to commit a crime than are Doctors, Lawyers, Police Officers, Indian Chiefs, or Stay at Home Moms.

Just Google: tenured professor charged with... and see what you come up with. :eye-poppi

Indeed. Randi famously demonstrated how easily scientists can be duped because we assume that everyone else plays fair and above-board as we do. But our ranks are rife with odd characters and truly epic ********.

Was it a sasquatch? I am not certain, but under the circumstances and based on the reconstruction conducted the next day, it strikes me as a real possibility that it was.
If he isn't certain, why mention it? Why not say it was inconclusive? Unless of course he wanted to come to a conclusion. Sounds weasily. Also, notice the possiblity of being hoaxed is never mentioned.

Folks, (some) footers know Patterson had his share of wrong doings and scams. They still belive PGF is real - P&G got lucky, despite their past... uhm... achievments. Same with other infamous bigfootery figures.

Same with Standing - footers will hope. Maybe this time its for real. Meldrum's wording -at least for now- keep him "safe". Again, at least for now.

Now, the biggest clue there's actually nothing worthy of any serious consideration is the very media the stuff is supposed to be delivered through. Its not Nature, its not even a documentary sponsored by NG, WWF, Smithsonian, whatever.

If Meldrum is not careful, he'll hit the bottom of his academic life with this thing.

Pretty sure Meldrum is a tenured professor....hes untouchable. Remember the professor that assaulted a student I think she still has her job.

there is someone at BFF claiming that he got bombarded by Infrasound.

He didn't record the infrasound, he recorded the rattling of the metal in his backpack.

Which could only have been rattled at that frequency if infrasound had hit the metal.

I have a theory it's Bigfoot breaking wind...that would explain the smell as well!

Wrong cryptid. That would have been a bigbutt, not a bigfoot.
Don't even dare asking which one can be responsible for a full facial from fifteen feet away...

Is it this cryptid? This appears to be a full facial from fifteen feet away. Is that what you meant?

I've been rattled by infrasound many hundreds of times: every time I'm near a herd of elephants. It is rather fun and a little odd, producing a sort of rumbling in your abdomen in certain circumstances. So minor you probably wouldn't notice it if you were in a group of people. As for the far-fetched claims of BFs attacking people with infrasound, or protecting themselves using it, or making people feel ill or faint or even of losing consciousness............it's just tosh. Made-up tosh.

Yeah, but that's just a herd of puny elephants, Mike. We're talking about the Big-Guy here. Remember, his roars can crack the ice on a Canadian lake.

They can roar louder than a jet engine.
They can bend and bring down trees cutting down a swath across a forest.
They can toss pigs out in to the air.
They can break an elk's legs.
They can move pretty fast.
They are stealthier than a ninja.

But when it comes down to scare puny humans away, they will throw small pebbles, pine cones and Good N'Plentyes...

I hadn't heard that..

I did read in Meldrum's book " Sasquatch - Legend Meets Science " , that a Bigfoot cry vibrated the pants of one of the researchers on the Skookum expedition..

It didn't work. We didn't run away. We stood tall in the face of the flying candy attack.
WOW!
The Fearless Bigfoot Hunters!

The 3m-tall ape undertsood those humans would not be scared.

The other usual things primates do to scare away intruders - throwing poo, pissing, throwing branches, making a lot of noise and threat displays (charging, for example) were not an option against such brave alpha humans. Bigfoots know they'll be hurt by Fearless Bigfoot Hunters. Or that such actions will generate physical evidence and humans will know about the forest people.

Well....Bigfoot hunters do have a reputation for Packing Large and Ol' Footie would know that.

I see...

Bifgoots must be much smarter than gorillas, chimps and orang-utangs. These apes are easy prey for hunters packing anything from a spear to an AK47... Gorillas, chimps and orang-utangs must be pretty dumb by the way, for they learned nothing after hundreds of thousands of years of convivence with humans.

DUH! Humans must be dumber than bigfoot, too. Hundreds of thousands of us are killed each year by other humans.
