Sykes said he started testing only recently. I remember that he wasn't doing testing 2 months ago, yet some crazy rumors popped up that his study will confirm on Dr. Ketchum's study.

Fascinating insights, especially about SY. I was never sure what to make of him as such a loud "Melbite" and someone who seemed so sure he had real bigfoot hair from some pasture in central Oklahoma. After visiting his website, I hypothesized that he's actually got something like alpaca hair, but whether he knew that or not going in, I couldn't say.
We don't talk about this enough, but it's a huge limitation of most scientists who address such claims: we're lousy at spotting frauds. With notable exceptions of course, we scientists place extraordinary value on our personal honesty and integrity, and we don't really get it that other people don't do that. We've heard of such things and we see these people on TV or in the newspapers, but we're seldom prepared to encounter them in real life.

Both have made hundreds of thousands of (today's) dollars from selling the "flesh and blood" bigfoot.
This to me is very telling. To make icons of these two (to name only a couple of icons in bigfootery) while accusing scientists of flimflammery is beyond ironic. It's either dishonest, or it reveals a cultish faith in the "dear leaders." Take your pick.
Patterson's character and shenannigans were laid out pretty well by Greg Long in 2004, 35 years after the faithful should have examined them. Ketchum's are just beginning to be revealed (by sites like Cryptomundo, Bigfoot Evidence, BigfootsBlog and Over the Line Smokey, even on the BFF, and individuals like Tyler Huggins and Bert Cutino, not to mention Robert Lindsay). I'm pretty sure there is much more to come.
To me, it is impossible to reconcile the apparent intelligence of many of the Ketchum/Patterson defenders with their refusal to actually look into her/his dealings and accept what those dealings mean, without having to postulate either dishonesty or cultism on the part of these followers.
In fact, it seems clear that a number of them understand the Pattersons and Ketchums of the world perfectly well, and that "by hook or by crook" is perfectly acceptable. Rather than expose the fakery, the bait and switch, the "soon", the pseudoscience, the science by press release and "Report", they learn and practice it.
I admire calwaterbear's ability to cope with the various characters who alternately ask scientists for favors and credibility, and then disparage the same scientists when the results don't fit their beliefs. And, at the same time, fit the experience into a non-profit teaching/learning experience for his bright young students. I'm sure his efforts won't go unpunished.

Dr. Ketchum could get sued for a lot of money if the DNA results that she provided are fraudulent! But of course that will never happen because there are numerous forensic and university labs that she outsourced the samples to. If I knew the names I would spill the beans, but I don't and at this point there is not much anyone can do other than wait for one of the two DNA studies to publish.
I don't known about what might or might not be litigious about Dr. Ketchum's dna results.
What I do know is that science isn't executed through social media, the blogosphere, or boutique internet sites dedicated to an unevidenced cryptid. Science is a serious, laborious, rigorous itellectual endevour and I'm hoping you understand that a Ketchum peer-reviewed paper regarding bigfoot dna is never going to be published in a reputable journal.
If you don't understand this you need to prepare for a large disappointment
If she had good data, verifiable results, and reliable conclusions her paper would have been THE cover story for Nature or Science or any number of legit Scientific Journals. It would be one of the great discoveries in recent zoological history.

After waiting a few more weeks upon the months and years that this paper has been in production, I have come to the conclusion that the only paper that might accept her DNA study is possibly, Charmin or Scotts, I have ruled out the comics cause they have brains, and her work don't ~

Not really,
the only ones who could sue would have to demonstrate damages. beyond that she would claim the money was for the sequencing. The sequencing has been done, and it is surely accurate, haveing been done by competent labs (I am giving her the benefit of the doubt here).
So, where she may have leagal exposure would be in her analysis of those data. which she would claim "her professional opinion". The person sueing her would then have to go find a bigfoot get DNA, prove it was a bigfoot, then show those seqences of the known bigfoot were different than ketchums bigfoot, which she would follow up with "well mines a highbrid".
The only person with valid claim here would probably be Hermson, and it would be on financial malfeasance terms, not for failing to bare her monkey !
And just as a reminder OS, Melbas paper was sumarily dismissed by Nature, on several occasions. Not returned for Edits, but out and out rejected! Not because it is bigfoot, but because the analysis was completely flawed, wild claims were made with no supporting evidence, etc etc. It was a wandering manifesto of a sociopath, not a scientific paper!
So now it will come out on some website, and a russian national enquirer! Sykes study on the other hand will be released as a true peer reviewed paper probably through one of the publications of Oxford press (or whatever the publishing arm of oxford university is).
Those 2 are not equivalent publications, in the judgement of the scientific community!
(BTW in case you have not figured it out, the National Enquirer and the Globe are actually part of the scientific Communities secret communication network, whenever one of us comes up with a gigantic discovery, like batboy or bigfoot, or Aliens, this is where we announce it! We need to get theword out to other scientists! Unfortunately those government blacjk Helicopter guys are always trying to supress our best work! So, By putting the discovery in these rags, we get around the government trying to cover up these things, because the government assumes the readers are too smart to believe all that stuff!
So look closely next time you see a nerd in the grocery store, more than likely, hidden at the bottom of his grocery cart, will be the catalog of the latest scientific bombshells, knowledge deemed to dangerous for the general public to possess!
