Bigfoot DNA

Hi Furious, good to see you here.

I don't understand why it's so absurd for an ancient line of bear to be still living near Mt. Everest. It's not an easy place to get to and the locals thought the Yeti was some kind of bear.

However, that thing the Nazi's confiscated doesn't look anything like a bear, it looked like a cat type thing assuming any of it was real. Ironically, I did notice a similarity in Justin Smeja's description of the kid bigfoot with that drawing of the bear thing the hunter shot in the remote village 40 years ago.

Melba Ketchum apparently has released more data from her project:

http://sasquatchgenomeproject.org/view-dna-study/

I can't tell what is new and what was there previously but thought I would see if anyone has the intestinal fortitude to dive into this again.

Here is what she is saying:

Ok, for all of you skeptics out there as well as scientists, we now have a new page (still being updated over the next day or so) on the sasquatchgenomeproject.org website showing a lot of data on Samples 25/26 that were not in the paper including the original chromatograms straight off of the sequencer. I have also included BLASTs and the sequences in text format so you can BLAST away yourself. As the paper stated, we had 3 kinds of results from all of the samples in the study: 1. The gave unequivocally human mtDNA results. On nuclear loci we got 2. 100% human sequence at some loci 3. Unknown sequence at some loci 4.Failure at some loci even though the human controls performed perfectly at all loci. I wouldn't have written the paper if I couldn't back it up 100%. Enjoy.

After seeing those brutal interviews with Melba Ketchum on the Fox News programs, I would say that she has probably eliminated herself from being featured on any future documentaries about Bigfoot.

How is that? Is she claiming a bear connection now? Or are you jumping the gun on what you want Sykes to announce?

The hilarious thing is going to be the difference in results obtained by Sykes and Ketchum for the same source material. At that point, expect Ketchum to start wearing dark glasses and a wig, and answering to the name Mrs Smith.

Not her style. Melba will never give up her little piece of the Bigfoot stage. She will come up with some wacky theory that will explain everything...

No, I'm saying if Sykes comes out with something unclassified, Melba can jump up and say that she had it first. I have no idea what Sykes is going to report.

He's not coming out with anything Unclassified.
He is going to publish a paper, if he publishes, about "Purported DNA samples, are of normal animal origin, indicating hoaxing or mistaken identity."

No. But if my research was funded by the BBC for inclusion in a Documentary, and they put my research on a Bigfoot show for ratings, they are not going to leave the part about the BIGFOOT DNA out of the documentary. You think they paid for the research, and decided to hold-off on the Bigfoot DNA documentary, while they fabricate a documentary around a friggin polar-bear outlier DNA sample? Use some common sense man.

I'm confused. Are you saying this is not about science and is about television ratings?

If you look at the study, it says "Sponsored by BBC" what do you think?

The science part will come when he titles the paper: "Cryptic Hominid DNA- not found in any of the submitted samples, results of testing indicate a cryptic Polar/Brown bear hybrid"

Merely a registering of the name - not an authorisation that it exists.

Considering all the issues that have shown up in the past, getting the paperwork done correctly is a major accomplishment.
