not sure what dumpster Biden pulled Larry Summers out of, but the message is quite clear.

I don't expect so from any Democrat. It's a toxic policy in the Democratic party now, as it should be.
Ms. Pelosi’s proposal represents “the way to get money into the hands of people who don’t benefit from the $1,200 checks because they make too much money,” said Kyle Pomerleau, a resident fellow at the conservative American Enterprise Institute. “It certainly gets money into hands. But I’m not sure it’s the correct hands.”
The Tax Policy Center estimates that only 3 percent of households in the middle quintile of American taxpayers would receive any benefit at all from the SALT cap repeal.
Is it?
Here's Pelosi fighting tooth and nail for coronavirus relief for... wealthy households in high cost-of-living coastal cities.

May God save the wretched souls that make too much money to get their Trump Bucks. We salute the real victims of the pandemic o7
Once the Democrats are in control, we can finally end the injustice of rich people in Boston having to pay their taxes. #Resist.
"Is it?"

Democrats’ tax plan looks an awful lot like a big giveaway to the wealthy
Added this in my edit. SALT is for rich people, despite all the D's trying to frame it as for middle class people.
Anyone paying $10,000 of state and local taxes is doing just fine.

So we're talking about tax breaks to people who make $100k+ a year and not billionaires then? Could be argued that it's not good economic policy. Certainly not leftist policy. It's not tax-breaks to billionaires.
He's a Democrat. In the eyes of half the voters that is enough. Now all they have to do is convince the other half, by throwing as much at him as they can. And those stupid liberals will swallow it hook, line, and sinker.
Check this graph from WAPO.

Even among the 100k+ crowd, the only people really getting money from this repeal are the ultra wealthy. The people making 100k are getting a whopping 210 a year back. The real benefit accrues to the ultra-wealthy. There is no reason for anyone to fight for this except to serve the rich.
I will admit, this isn't only a benefit to billionaires, you got me. The multi-millionaires are getting a slice of the action too.
Keep in mind, this is what Pelosi is working on during a public health emergency. Working people's 1200 ran out weeks ago and Pelosi wants to make sure wall street execs living in CT get a break on their taxes.
I myself remain unsure how I will vote, but I have not encouraged anyone to vote one way or the other.
Any lefty that believes Biden's "progressive" promises is a sucker. Biden is staffing up with conservative, corporatist Democrats. not sure what dumpster Biden pulled Larry Summers out of, but the message is quite clear.
Really? You are unaware that making statements such as the following are encouragements to vote a certain way?
Maybe you don't realize it, but calling potential voters "suckers" isn't a term of endearment.
Voting for Biden is voting for a conservative, corporate friendly Democrat.
Given the options, that seems to be the best choice.
Anyone that thinks Biden is some crypto-progressive is deluding themselves. I see nothing inconsistent with this statement.
You think telling people the candidate is lying to them and they're suckers if they believe his stated policy goals isn't an encouragement not to vote for that candidate?
Sure, why not?
Biden is lying to them. He's still better than Trump, who is very honest about what he wants to accomplish.
And years of bidens are exactly how they got that way.The problem are the Americans so disillusioned by the political process they no longer bother to even participate.
The standard liberal line that these people are too stupid, too irresponsible to take their civic duty seriously remains as wrong as ever. They know that the process doesn't present them a meaningful choice.
That's the part that people saying the kind of stuff that uke2se is saying don't appear to get. They seem so fixated on "this" election "this" year, but then the same again every year because every year is always "this" year, that they forget that there are other elections and other years, both past and future. You can especially see it in their analogies, like a single historical event that involved one ship and one iceberg. In reality, history has many years in it, during which many watercraft have either hit or avoided many solid obstacles, and uke2se's recommendation amounts to avoiding one by deliberately steering even deeper into the area where they're coming from.I am very curious what happens after that
What you are arguing for is unrealistic and unachievable. We've tried this whole "put somebody who appears completely useless or counterproductive up for election and just hope (s)he'll win and then miraculously turn around and do some good instead" thing before. Repeatedly. It has never worked. That's what brought us to the situation we're in now. Expecting more of the same to suddenly start working this time would be insanity. The only way to break out of continuing to get more of the same results is to quit trying the same action over & over again that we know doesn't work. What you are arguing for is unrealistic and unacheivable.
That's the problem right there. Every year, every election, keeps getting treated as the most horribly urgent there ever has been or ever will be. Maybe we can start taking the big picture seriously next time, after just this one emergency is over, right? But it never actually is. Every time we've been told that before, the Republicans were always still around the next time, and they will be after this time too, and the time after that, and the time after that. The sooner their "opposition" gets it through their skulls that they need to start doing some opposing, the better. And they won't learn that from a free "win" that's really just another surrender.I'm trying to get you to understand the precarious position you are in... I don't think there has ever been a more meaningful choice than this year.

Obama's incremental changes are being wiped out left and right by Trump.
Constantly telling people how bad their choice would be is usually considered to be encouraging them not to make that choice on this planet.
This is just whining. If you don't see this as an important election, I don't know what's wrong with you.
It's not just the most important election ever for the US, but the most important US election for the rest of the world.
