Bible 'Inspirational Poster'

I am not sure ... I am new here.

I used the paperclip to attach a file I had on my computer.

attachment.php
It's simple.

Your post is quoted the way it's posted.

Quote Asilomar's first post in this thread.
What I got isn't what I saw.
That's what I'm confused about.
:)

Sorry, I'm giving you a hard time. Quoting a post with an image will always render the URL or name of the file depending on how the post renders the image.

If you want the image to appear in the quote you must add the image manually. First find the source by right clicking on the image and choose properties (Windows). Copy the source and then quote the post, delete the image reference, click on the image button and then paste the image reference into the URL field.

Hope that helps.

Sorry for not explaining it in the first place.

I'm never happy with anything I do after first seeing it in its first "finised" form. As soon as I saw the post, I realized 'have' should probably be 'do':).

Thanks.
If God had consulted me before programming the forums, I would have suggested some other way.

;)

Actually, there's an option in your Control Panel to switch images on/off when quoting a post that contains an image.

The default setting is to show the URL instead of the image itself.

Go to your Options page and scroll all the way down to Convert to [URL] in quotes?[/I]

There you can choose to show the image, not the URL.

Just changed that option, wahrheit, and I still get the above when I quote Asilomar -- even though his post is "Atheism.jpg" (but a link to the attachment).

In fact, I just scrolled down the reply thread, and Asilomar's post reads "Attachment 11609" (but a link). The only time it reads "Atheism.jpg" is in post 40.

Weird.

That's because the ATTACH tag was used, not the IMG tag. An attachment is not the same to the forum software like an image. (An attachment could be anything, not only a picture.)

The Control Panel option only applies to IMG tags.

Try quoting this one:

attachment.php

What?!?!? Nobody liked the one in post #16 :(
Well, I wouldn't say 'like' exactly. I can appreciate the technical skill and the work involved, not to mention cleaning up afterwards and disposing of the body.

BTW, I like your sig about arguing with/without reason. Is it a quotation of somebody else, or yours?
