Beyond Apollo conspiracies

What is it with conspiracy theorists? For all their bravado about "asking questions" and "not being sheep", they all seem to be utterly closed off to criticism, and unfailingly resort to insults and deregatory language when their ideas are challenged.

It saves them the trouble of having to be intelligent,

Is it because their beliefs really can't stand up to close examination and comparison to minor things like science and facts, and so to protect their fragile ego they feel the need to come out fighting, after all for a lot of CTs their belief is almost religious and to question religion is to show a lack of faith, and without faith in conspiracies most CTs lives would seem to be empty.

In any one really professes to believe that Stanley Kubrick could have fluked the exact appearance of the lunar surface in the film 2001 before the Apollo 11 mission - that is entirely their right in a democracy.

Well duh! How could Kubrick have known what the surface of the moon looks like? That would have required looking at it through a telescope looking at pictures from unmanned probes? Why would a movie director making a film with scenes set on the moon do that? :D

You can tell by the overlapping shadows that the diorama in LGR's picture is lit by several nearby light sources.

All the Apollo imagery is lit by a single, large, faraway light source.

If nothing else, the lack of overlapping shadows in actual Apollo imagery flatly contradicts LGR's claim that it's lit identically to his studio image.

Not to mention the guy in the background on the right in a shirt and tie.

Sorry, I didn't realize how far behind I am.
