Banned From LCF In Under 30 Minutes...

I don't post there often, but I have been today.

Apparently I've been confined to the skeptics forum. I didn't see anything in their rules about that.

Seems an odd action for a forum to take. Although this:

This is a privately owned forum and the administration reserves the right to restrict the participation of any user that is deemed disruptive for any reason.

I suppose that would be their justification. Apparently I was being disruptive, although I was just asking questions.

I actually really wanted to know if they planned on taking this to court. Alas, my question will never be answered.

I think I just got banned. Odd, I've never been banned from any forum before.

Here is what got me banned. Judge for yourselves, if I deserved it:

Why have I been confined to the skeptics forum?

Because of posts like this - http://s1.zetaboards.com/LooseChangeForums/single/?p=72994&t=251273 - when people are trying to research and corroborate.

Besides, you are a skeptic.... one who enjoys spamming.

The person claimed to have found monumental evidence, yes? If it is monumental, why waste time on a message board? It makes no sense. Unless the only purpose of your search for truth, is to justify some bizarre fantasy world you have made up for yourself. Which seems to actually be the case.

I was not trying to illicit a confrontational response. I was questioning their entire world view. If that bothers them, they should give up their fantasies. If they can't defend their actions, I feel sorry for them.

The person believed they had found monumental evidence, yes? Wouldn't there be better places for it, than the Loose Change forums? Wouldn't it be better to actually try and do something, than spend time in this circle jerk of buffoons you call a message board?

I think the "circle jerk of buffoons" is the line that got me banned.

eta: Though, it makes no difference. I had already been confined to the skeptics forum. And it seems like that is a place, where they keep you, to mock you, and to keep you away from ruining their fantasy. Although, he acknowledges that I wasn't spamming....so it's all very confusing.

First forum I've ever been banned from, and I've said much worse things than "circle jerk of buffoons".

And he accused me of derailing several threads, but I had only made about 2 posts at the time I was confined to the skeptics forum.

eta: And the skeptics forum, on the LCF...seems to only serve as a place where they can mock skeptics. Even though a lot of the skeptics, have already been banned.

It gives them a place to mock skeptics, while it simultaneously keeps the skeptics away from their precious "research".

I've looked through the Skeptics section at LCF, and there are very, very few threads actually started by skeptics. Most of the threads there are started by Truthers attempting to "provoke a confrontational response" from skeptics.

If a skeptic makes such a confrontational response, he is banned.

Well, I involuntarily boycott LCF . I would just go and link to as many debunker sites as possible until they boot you. Pretty soon everyone will be banned and maybe someone who isn't completely seduced yet will link over to SLC or JREF or LC GUIDE and wake up. I heard that a guy named Mike Metz wasted a year doing "truther's" biddings. I hate to think of all the well meaning people out there that these smut-peddlers recruit like COS does.

The forum has died, twice. In my opinion (and this is coming from a place of almost abysmal ignorance), both times were the direct result of purging so many skeptics that there was no longer any interesting discussion going on at all. As a result, they were forced to shut down and start all over again.

I have to agree. I don't go to LCF for the simple fact that they are a bunch of bumbling idiots. The whole lot of 'em.

Now, I went on there briefly after I spoke with Dylan on a radio show a few months back. I just wanted to see what he had to say. I got banned the next day.

Oh well. Its not a big loss. Like I said, the whole lot of 'em are morons.

But, it is nice to have something to do when I am at work and can't leave.
