Awesome Party at Remie's?

I am in for partay. I won't have transportation but will be happy to share cab if we need more than the cars that people have.

I will be coming on my own.

Saturday is fine.

Just keep in mind - I live extremely, extremely far from South Point. I am not sure how much a cab would be, but my guess is "a whole lot".

Sorry for the delay of my return.

Saturday is the 13th, and I was hoping to have a "Jolly Thirteen" dinner at TAM. It's a bit of a social gathering located mostly in NYC, but I was going to offer a satellite location in Vegas for that evening.

But, I suppose since the only responder I got, so far, was Kochanski, we can bring the Jolly Thirteen to this party, instead!

At this point in time, I don't have transportation. But, I can rent something if we need it.

Those who WILL have vehicles, please form a list of yourselves, and how many people your vehicle can hold. If the number of people to going exceeds the known level of spots in cars, then I will see about renting something. Or, if a cab or limo service is cheaper at that point, we'll just grab one of those.

I don't drink alcohol, so make sure you have some soft drinks.
Also, I am mostly vegetarian. So, it would be nice to have vegetarian options. Though, I am flexible in situations where there aren't any.

Let's see how many people are willing to contribute, and divide the $150 evenly across them. Heck, we can even bump it up to $200, and if no one really wants to contribute to that extra 50, then I can.

Did I forget anything?

So, the people I have so far (both in PM and in here) are:

Bumlet +1 - yes to Saturday; has car and space for two more
Wowbagger - yes to Saturday; may have transportation
Kochanski - yes to Saturday; needs transportation
Adman - yes to Saturday; needs transportation
Hutch - yes to Saturday; may have transportation
elipse +2 - yes to Saturday; needs transportation

Thanks, Remie. Just to add--I am happy to help with the party funding, as well as with gas or shared cab fares.

Is Sunday out of the picture? I was hoping to see the show on Saturday (though that's not a must).

I have to work on Monday, so that might not be a good idea. :)

Don't you work from home?

;)

For some reason, people think that means I get to slack off more. Sadly, this is not the case... ;) I'd still be in meetings, etc, etc. The only real difference is that I can attend them in pajamas. It's best not to do that after a night of staying up late at a party.

Also - I feel we need more people in order to make the Mario Kart battle epic (and also to really get Operation: The Drinking Game to its full heights of horror). Tell your friends. ;)

Do you drive? I'll have a car, but I won't drink if I've consumed ANY alcohol, and I have anxiety attacks when driving in strange places, especially after dark. My car holds five people, if someone else would drive it for me.

I should add - I may drink at this shindig, should the mood arise. Feel free to ask me about that in a PM if you'd like. Just so's not to spring it on you.

ETA: Screw it. I'll clarify here. The guy I was with was abusive; particularly in a passive aggressive way. He would alternately encourage drinking, and then damn me for it and claim that I did everything wrong all the time, and I left a bit shellshocked. Okay, still am. After experimenting a bit, I have decided the problem was with him and not me.

Hey, Guys! I will probably drag Baloney with me, so you can put him on the list, and also a guy who isn't on the forums and will be a first TAMmer.

All three of us will need transportation.

Someone, let us come with you!

The ******* in such arrangements is always the problem. Obviously he was the *******.

Hutch mentioned a minivan. :) Hutch, are you out there? Is the minivan good for passengers?

Yep, can carry six (comfortably, more uncomfortably)-for people I like.

(Fortunately, I like most everybody here).

And I've been out there for 60 years, my dear.

Also, probably will bring Chip (Hamradioguy) with me, so five seats available.

Did a little digging on Expedia--a full-size van (seats 12-13) picked up at 4:30Pm Saturday and returned in the AM on Sunday costs about $150--which is a lot, but if 12 people pony up about $12 each, it should provide ride space if we need to look at that option.

Should be there. I expect to be square, but even so.

I don't drink either, if there's a need for more drivers.

At this rate there will be more drivers than vehicles.
