August Stundie nominations

A planetarium program doesn't match what he thinks the Earth should look like therefore the Moon landings were hoaxed.

Not the best quality shot. Try this if you have the software, Look for the Earth in the lunar sky on the evening of the Apollo 11 landing. I had to use the program's search function to find the Earth. It is roughly a magnitude -15 or 16 celestial object. the Earth should be way way way brighter than the stars. What is going on? Is this an innocent oversight to not have the earths it should appear. for the most part this software is great.

NASA does an animation illustrating recent data where a black hole draws in a stray star. Comments abound on the Huffpost article. One of the brighter bulbs, upon being asked what it is that HE has done with his superior intelligence (as opposed to chasing stars):

Sought my own answers to questions that the current model just does not handle to my satisfaction, as they rely too heavily on things that are unseen but must be believed, nonetheless. "Science" has become more of a faith-based affair in the recent decades, having been given over to the mathematicians who are allowed to describe imaginary worlds. I remember the first time I heard of "imaginary numbers" in high school, I thought, "What kind of crap is that?" Turns out that math is not required to describe actual physical reality, a danger since it is relied upon so heavily to describe the Cosmos. We have mistaken mathematical reality for physical reality

Just because a math equation says that it is so does not mean that it either physically possible or real, especially when that math equation effectively has infinity on one side of it.
Damn mathematicians. I always knew they were trouble.

In a thread talking about FEMA et al. getting blueprints from the building owners in NYC, I asked TMD if they were ever denied access to blueprints.
So, did they get the blueprints? Yes or no?
I had shown that FEMA et al. had in fact gotten the blueprints, but after being delayed for legal reasons.

And TMD adds this gem.

First of all BPAT did not get access, the documents were given to them.

So, they didn't get access to documents that were given to them.

How is that possible?

Simple! They put the blueprints inside Dan Brown's Cryptex!

This isn't a stundie for what it says exactly, but for what it represents:
http://www.henrymakow.com/lyme_disease_-_the_tick_that_a.html

The incidence of Lyme Disease has DOUBLED since 1991. Let's say that we've got 500,000 cases a year for 20 years, since Lyme is under-reported and under-diagnosed.

That means we're talking at least 10 million cases in the USA alone.

Conspiracy theorists think that they can get away with making up their own facts.

His limited vocabulary seems limited to words that limit his meaning to the limit he wants it limited.

Marokkaan is really trying to sew up the award before the month ends. There are many to choose from in this particular thread but I'll just throw out two lines from THIS POST

But you have truthers, who dont care about the conspiracies but care about the truth and science.

Followed by...

Since when, is taking the theory controlled demolition serious, believing in a conspiracy? Maybe al qaida did the controlled demolition. We dont know, we just look to the science not who did it.

Again that's just starting off point. He provides a whole treasure trove of nomination material to choose from in that thread. :D
