So long as it's their own books, not really seeing the problem.

Had a couple of friends in High School who really, REALLY hated The Scarlett Letter. They burned their copies in "protest" after we were done reading it. Sure it's a bit juvenile, but it's not like they hurt Hester Prynne by doing it.
