Historians like to mark a single point in time as the moment at which a conflict began, but other historians like to point out that history is never really that cut-and-dried. Before Ft. Sumter there was Bleeding Kansas, and before Rebecca's offhanded "don't do that" there was already the MRA trolling over her circumcision remarks and her talk about sexism in the atheist community in Dublin.

I did speak up about the way Kelly was treated and demanded that something be done about it. I was Perma banned for doing this.

Ceepolk and Flewlynn should have been removed as mods during that situation.

But nope, I get banned for suggesting that mods be held accountable.

link, I can't post them yet, but page 72 on the "our mods are censorious, capricious and biased" thread.

I had previous been temp banned for daring to suggest that people covering up a crime(rape), might have more to do with who the perpetrators were(IE local celebrities/rich people/important or popular people locally) than with "rape culture", seeing as how these people seem to get away with many crimes in comparison with people who are not privileged in such ways.

I also didn't back down when they told me drop it. Since well... nothing had been done. Looking back, they were probably ordering me to answer princess Setar, but since I've had xir on ignore since early september. I never noticed xir comments/questions.

Seriously? The post is "go through that list of 50 quotes I've posted and explain your thoughts on each one, otherwise we can't engage in dialogue". How is that a productive use of anyone's time? I only read the first 5 or 6 before getting bored and believing I'd got the general gist. I thought brevity was supposed to be a good thing in those circles?

Welcome to JREF kbonn. You were one of those rational posters I followed there that I knew would soon be banned. I saw it coming weeks ago. Surely by now you aren't surprised they did so?

I invited him to join the discussion here, and he said he did register but for problems not explained says he is unable to post here. Any help staff could render in getting him logged in and able to post would be much appreciated. Qwint needs to have a wing man. He is getting way behind in responding to queries. :crowded:

Why not let's see if we can sort out some issues where so many others have failed? I think it makes sense to begin that process by focusing on those capable on some level of avoiding logical fallacies and who are open to the possibility there may be things they've missed. :)
