I was appalled to see someone else's emails being reproduced without any signs of permission. Especially as it also involved publishing their email address.

Click members on the list near the top of the things you can pull up. The third is members list. Click on it and use the assists to put in and click on Kumar..........

I had long posted in a snippet earlier, I did indeed rephrase a question I had posed to him. (That was not a secret, as one may clearly see in the snippet I had long posed)

I also mentioned that there were few exchanges, where I did indeed message Bengio about fundamental idea from my paper, about combining translation invariant/translation variant systems, as you will see in the snippet above.

This is central to my paper, as my paper concerns disentangling factors of variation, as I expressed many times throughout this thread.

Bengio's email address is public.
A few seconds of Google would reveal that to you.

Also, I fail to see what abbadon has "uncovered", as I discussed the emails' content openly here...

As for asking Bengio's permission to post some email content, that had never crossed my mind...

What words did I make up in thought curvature's content (except the title 'thought curvature' of course)?

This reminds me of when I talked to somebody recently, here in Jamaica, and when I mentioned I was trying to apply Supermathematics to Deep Learning, they said they'd never heard of the term "Supermathematics", and wondered if I were making it up.

Key take away is, that one has not heard a term, does not suddenly warrant that the term does not exist in science.

Yes, as often happens his first reply was "who the hell is this" swiftly followed by "that is not what I actually said".

PGJ can lie his butt off for all anyone cares, but I took the trouble to determine the truth of the matter and PGJ flat out lied.

There are also far more brilliant beings than Bengio, including Witten, or this 20 something year old hot chick whose work has been said to be cited by Hawking, or the late Maryam, called the only woman to win the fields medal.

I ponder what brilliance can occur if we combine the fields of brilliant beings, given that there are reasonably compatible components amongst the works of said beings?

Brilliant! He couldn't understand PGJ, then his responses showed PGJ to have misrepresented their exchanges. Is that a fair summary? How about posting all of this chap's emails to you on the subject, so that PGJ can't spin it any more.

Oh, and has anyone noticed that Bengio is no longer on a high intellectual pedestal, but is already a "being", and that there are plenty of more brilliant "beings"? The uncharitable might suggest that PGJ is trying a damage limitation exercise, having had his bollocks here rumbled.

(1) I refer to all humans, including myself as beings or people, as these are interchangeable.

(2) You should consider my quote below (containing earlier questions of mine to abaddon), which shows a clear contradictory behaviour from abaddon, no wonder he/she has gone silent:

For someone so big on the meaning of words, you sure don't know what contradictory means... You made up the claim about photoshopping.

If Abaddon says something that does not correspond with your post hoc claim, it doesn't mean he's contradicting himself... it means you're using a strawman.

Calling people 'meat sacks' may be technically using an interchangeable term, but in practice, to an English-speaking ear, it is not.

Abaddon Line 2 -> Quotes Bengio about my gmail screenshots: "It's a true excerpt. From a gmail exchange....".

The contradiction persists, whether or not you would care to acknowledge it...
