Are the Gospels Antisemitic?

That much is clear. Perhaps you'll find someone who respects your attitude enough to engage you on th topic.
Perhaps you can do more than post an arbitrary link. Perhaps you can even answer my question. If so, we can perhaps have a conversation.

I will attempt to show how a common person who reads the Gospels and doesn't know much of the problems they pose can perceive the writings. Since this is how ceo_esq wishes to have this discussion I will give it a try that way.
It seems a difficult task. It also seems to me that you may understate it. So, for example, you intend to show
  • how a common person who reads the Gospels and doesn't know much of the problems they pose can perceive the writings.
I would think, however, that you would need to show
  • how a common person who reads the Gospels and doesn't know much of the problems they pose must necessarily perceive the writings
Clearly the authors sacrifice credulity in their understandable efforts to denigrate Judaism and its leadership. I see Luke 13 as exemplary in this regard. But it's hard to imagine how such likely fabrications (including the passion narrative) rise to the level of "antisemitism". I certainly see no reason to conclude that Luke hated the Jews.

Thanks for the bump but I do not intend to post again in this forum. I am sorry ceo_esq.

Not to get you to continue to post here but do you mind saying why?

That's okay. I'm sure we'll have plenty of other things to discuss in other forums. And of course if you change your mind I certainly wouldn't hold it against you!

Cheers,

Okay, okay. Forget what I've said.

I am now consumed by curiosity regarding whether a verse written over a thousand years ago can today be interpreted as being a slur against a particular set of humans who identify themselves as "Jews".
