Apollo 11 Moon Landing Revisited: Hoax ~vs~ Debunk

Having an appropriate speech ready in case of an (all too possible) disaster occurring during the first attempt to land humans on the moon and then return them to the earth seems the opposite of sentimental to me.

"How does anyone believe this" is more a question for the moon landing hoax claimants.
General Eisenhower knew that.

That's because Harding fell out with Hoeflin. As a result of which, the latter founded TNS.
Be that as it may, your claim to being a triple-niner is based on what amounts to a vanity test. It is not a test of general intelligence. It is not applicable to or accepted by anyone outside the self-styled high-I.Q. clubs it was formulated for.

Do you have so much contempt for the Apollo Program because the people involved were genuinely exceptional in a way that some people can only pretend to be?
Nope. I see you find objectivity hard to understand. Anyone not in agreement with you is shameful, runs your line of argument.

Nixon was a slimy creep.
And Trump is exponentially for slimy and creepy. Yet the Artemis II mission still happened.

Is this really something you think is a valid argument? Nixon was an ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊, therefore the Apollo Program was all faked because he was president for part of it?

And you wonder why people don't buy your claim to be in the top tenth of a percent in cognitive ability.

You are not objective. Your latest claim is that you aren't intending to be objective; you said you were representing the hoax claimants because of what you believed was shabby "debunking."
I don't recall saying it was shabby. Seems weird to be upset because I thought there were a couple of good points.

We all know the speech exists, Axxman is hardly the first to mention it. Why imbue it with sentimental value? It's akin to saying, 'Hitler liked dogs'.
Your reading comprehension is extraordinary bad. I'm quite positive that no one but you thought that Axxman was being sentimental about Tricky Dick. He was correctly pointing out that Nixon was not in charge of the Apollo Program, and wasn't calling any of the shots. He couldn't even have cancelled it, as that would be up to Congress.

I don't recall saying it was shabby.
You had nothing good to say about it until you found out I was one of the "debunkers" and had to backpedal.

Seems weird to be upset because I thought there were a couple of good points.
Irrelevant. You have said you are representing the hoax claimants, which you seem to be doing vigorously without respect to whether their points are good or not. You cannot simultaneously represent a party to a debate and set yourself up as an objective commentator on the merits of both sides.

AIUI Apollo11 was the only one that was 'live' tv.
Nonsense, all six landings had live TV +~2.5 sec, even the short transmissions from A12 before Alan Bean accidently pointed the camera toward the sun without any protection for the vidicon tube. That burned out probably 90-95% leaving a sliver of good coverage.at the top.

Nixon's character is certainly questionable if indeed he 'winged it' to beat the Soviets, because no matter how much the guys were paid off and made to keep shtum under various state secrets acts, or how worthy his aim at the time, or however patriotic, the buck stops with him ultimately. Certainly the Apollo Program itself was hardly faked.

I am sure Trump will be making Artemis III moon expedition all about himself, too, so I hope he'll be out of office by then. Suddenly, Trump is a big fan of science.

I had scant idea it was you until you piped up. You did a commendable job and I know in your heart of hearts you believe in it all.

Irrelevant. You are not the objective arbiter of this debate. You are a party. You are not objective. In addition, you are not suitably informed to act either as a party or as an objective commentator.
