AP News: "Let's go, Brandon" is really code for "**** Joe Biden"

In a nutshell: you know what YOU heard. You do NOT know what SHE heard.

I know what I heard: Something I wasn't sure of at first until I listened more closely a few times.

You know what YOU think. You do NOT know what SHE thought.

I'm not the one claiming to know what SOMEONE ELSE THINKS OR HEARD or KNOWS. That would be YOU.

Sheesh.

Lol. You are fundamentally and transparently dishonest. Surprise.

It is a reasonable assumption from experience of watching college basketball games played at schools whose student sections tend to be a tad rowdy.

Whether this woman honestly misheard this, which lol no, really isn't the point. She definitely was not being nefariously political about rednecks using potty mouth language as that argument is so stupid as to boggle the mind.

I didn't claim she was "being nefariously political". I claimed that her first instinct was to gaslight the audience, which is what liars do. She is an appropriate representative of the corporate media.

I see you assume you can read my mind as well as everyone else's. Have you thought of going professional? Maybe you can borrow Johnny Carson's old Carnac the Magnificent's turban.

Clearly what was being chanted was not "difficult to make out". The real story here, in my opinion, isn't the meme itself, but that NBC news reporter Kelli Stavast abjectly lied when she suggested that the crowd was chanting "Lets go Brandon", in an attempt to mislead and gaslight viewers. This reflects much of the media's and the political interests they represent disdain for truth, and the propensity to try and spin reality even when it's oblivious to them that it's an obvious lie to everyone else.

Oh, you didn't?

The Five Laws of Human Stupidity

1. Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.

2. The probability that a certain person is stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.

3. A stupid person is one who causes losses to another person or a group of people while they gain nothing or may even suffer losses.

4. Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular, non-stupid people constantly forget that in any time and place and circumstance dealing and/or hanging out with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake.

5. Stupid people are the most dangerous type of people.

-- Carlo Cipolla
In this case, and in this thread, all five Laws are in play

NOTE: Yes, I know Cipolla was having little fun with this, but that doesn't mean there are not elements of truth in what he said.

Just what you'd expect from their kind. Trump supporters really are scum. They're like a cross between monkeys and dogs. They have opposable thumbs so they can play with **** like monkeys do and have an insatiable desire to hump Trump's leg. Disgusting, pathetic and weak.

I'm only disappointed that there weren't enough turdlets for the required apostrophe and capital "B".

The fact that the word brandon was the only one not capitalized, I'd lean more towards the fact that whatever absolute moron was playing with this **** wasn't much more intelligent than what he was playing with.

But I'm sure you guys would get along!

New article in The Washington Post:

First, it replaces a vulgar epithet with a sarcastic commentary on Biden’s disastrous presidency. The focus shifts from insulting Biden the person, to well justified mockery of Biden’s catastrophic actions in office. Worst inflation in 30 years? Let’s go Brandon! Gas prices up $1.31 a gallon since his election? Let’s go Brandon! Home heating prices skyrocketing? Let’s go Brandon! Self-inflicted crisis at the southern border? Let’s go Brandon! Left hundreds of Americans behind in Afghanistan? Let’s go Brandon! Can’t find a Thanksgiving turkey or the Christmas gifts your kids want because store shelves are bare? Let’s go Brandon! Approval rating dropped to 36 percent? Let’s go Brandon!

Opinion: Three cheers for ‘Let’s Go Brandon’

Doing an experiment. There's some crank near me that makes a point of parking his big truck in our small downtown area with a big "**** Joe Biden" sign displayed on the weekends.

I'm curious if this flag will change to the less explicit, but more trendy "Let's go Brandon".

Saw it parked in the usual spot the other day. Same "**** Joe Biden" flag as before. Will update if it changes.

It's pretty hard to read. The truck is a military surplus hummer with the flag slung between the cabin and the tailgate at a pretty shallow angle that makes reading difficult. Had I not seen the flag before I would not recognize it. Pretty poor attempt at virtue signaling imo.

Why do Trump supporters have such a need to publicly advertise their stupidity and in such classless ways?

Their core political ethos is making liberals upset. They automatically claim a level of irony to conclude this is the case.

"I'm upset about the bumper stickers"

-hahahah libz owned.

"I'm annoyed by the clumsy ineffectiveness of a bumper sticker meant to annoy me"

--hahahhahah libz think I'm serious so owned.

"I find it exasperating that this bumper sticker is an example of how people can express deplorable opinions and think they are brave even though the coding and claims of convenient irony is simple cowardice. If they were actually brave and just said what they meant and defended the opinion on the merits this wouldn't be so stupid."

---hahahahaha libz don't understand that I am aware of the cowardly ambiguity this bumpers sticker conveys and that I'm just doing this to trigger them. Owned!

etc.

It is pretty fun to laugh at liberals and how sensitive they are, I admit. They have no problem dumping on others, of course. Just look around this forum, for example.

As far back as I can remember (far back), my observation is that conservatives just do not possess the comedy gene. Yet still they try, bless their hearts.

They've just spun out of control.

P.J. O'Rourke could be funny. Bob Dole could be hilarious at times.

It's just comedy is a moving target and conservativism is not exactly about dynamic change so mostly they just get mad about things that used to be funny not being funny anymore, especially since comedy has moved away from edgy cruelty.

"Liberals are so sensitive! They whine about everything! Hey guys, check out my 'Let's go Brandon' t-shirt. Nothing says, 'I'm totally not sensitive' like spending money on a Made in China t-shirt telling everyone how butthurt I am that my pick for POTUS didn't get in! pwned!"

I mean, are you not doing the same exact thing? Can you demonstrate the difference between your behavior and "the liberals" that somehow places you in a different class? From what I've seen you have equally no problem in dumping on others. Are you special for some reason?
