AOC offended Team Mitch gets gropey

Zounds!!!
What a terrible thing!!! High School kids acting like idiots!!! Who woulda thunk it???
Punishment and retribution must be dealt out to these kids or no cardboard box will be safe!!!

I suggest paper cuts with salt added in order to send a strong message that high school kids that act like idiots in group settings (about 99.999998 % by latest reckoning) will start to use their underdeveloped brains and raging hormones to bake cookies and help nuns across streets.

Thank gawd all of the hand wringing adults commenting about this non-event were Mary Poppins Practically Perfect in their youth!

Idiots will be idiots.
But these idiots were all wearing "Team Mitch" shirts while sexually assaulting a member of congress in effigy.
It would be entirely appropriate for McConnell's office to make a statement that they don't support this kind of thing, and it is entirely appropriate for AOC to demand that he does exactly that.

For all the people that have deemed this "not news or worthy of paying attention to" there sure are a bunch of ******* people popping into here to say it LoL.

"I don't care about this, it's not newsworthy" - the 3rd person after commenting on the story all while handwaving away the behavior.

Did you ******* people seriously do this stuff in high school? I'm a convicted felon and I never fake strangled someone in high school or since. This is just a different rendition of "boys will be boys" or "locker room talk". I can't believe how many people talked that way and are totally ok with mock choking out a young member of congress.

So ******* random.

What if they were wearing Iron Maiden t-shirts?
Did they do so while at a rock concert? After all, this was a political event they were at; it wasn't just some random gathering.

(And I do think that political leaders should be held to a different standard than entertainers.)

Remember, these individuals are from Kentucky, one of the more backwards states in the U.S. (One that went overwhelmingly to Trump in 2016.) I expect that most of them will never actually be exposed to any significant 'left wing' message.

So rather than going from being uncontrolled youth to rational adults, they probably would have maintained their attachment to the racist and bigoted rhetoric that is coming from the Republican party, and 20 years from now they would be sitting in the audience at some Trump Jr. Presidential rally, waving their little nazi flags.
How many people remain in the same state they went to high school in?
Not sure about same state, but there was a survey that showed more than 50% of all people live within a few hours of their home town. (And, statistically, Trump voters are less likely to move far from home than Clinton supporters were.)

None, if it doesn't bother you then just ******* move on.

Obviously you can't, but if you don't give a ****, I don't know why you'd participate. That's the neat new thing here though. For some reason you have to post in a thread to tell everyone how much you don't care about the topic of the thread.

If you want, no rules from me.

I'm not demanding ****. It was on my news feed, and it was relevant to politics in that it a) happened at a political event b) included people involved in politics c) was degrading to someone in congress.

I don't even know that they have jobs. I think they're high schoolers.

I don't have a standard because I wasn't specifically calling anyone to action. I posted something that I felt was newsworthy. Just like you corrected someone about assault weapons in a thread that no one cared about the information you presented. You obviously felt some level of butthurt to go off on a tangent of questions.

Nothing says "I am worth listening to" more than some expertly arranged masked cuss words.

The thing about AOC is not that she's "good looking" - - it's that she is radical and that some people are actually listening to her.

It's the dummies that elected and support her that are scary. My opinion anyways.

Mitch McConnell literally went on a Sunday morning show to declare Biden a socialist. He called all of his past opponents socialists. He uses it because they've been red baiting for years

He called Joe Scarborough a socialist and left wing! Seems to be the goto attack for #MoscowMitch #Putin'sMitch #TheTurtle

Sometime radical solutions are needed to extreme problems.

And if Publicly paid for Education and Heathcare is radical, count me in as a radical.

What, joke about strangling people?

Is this a serious question? Yeah, teens **** talk all the time. It doesn't mean anything.

I'm down with **** talking all day; however, if I were to show up to class with a cardboard cutout of insert_friend_here and pretended to strangle them in the school, I'd rightfully get my ass suspended. The school would not put up with that at all, and mind you this was at a ******* church. Not just a random park, not the local zoo, not a fair, a literal ******* church.

Also mentioned, they had tombstones of current and former opposition. AT A CHURCH.

To me, **** talking is calling people names, nothing even close to strangling or even mocking strangling.

This explains why Al Franken had to leave the Senate, I guess.

No, I'm sure people my age would've used a 3x5 picture instead.

You know what I find strange? It's how common it is for posters to suddenly forget how humans act.

Or how they acted when they were teens....

"Radical" isn't actually a solution, though.

You should print these little aphorisms up on buttons. Sometimes "radical" is actually a solution, particularly in a scale like the one we use to describe US political positions where Far Left is the "global middle".

These are conversations we need to have. It ain't just about whether my tax cut should come in a brown envelope or a white one, which is what passes for meaningful conversation among conservatives.

Okay. Let's have a conversation about AOC's radical solutions. Pick one. Start a new thread if you like. I'll even try really hard not to be evil.
