Another elitist bubblehead for McCain

In a supposed community of skeptics and rational thinkers, I can always count on the 2008 USA Presidential Elections subforum to tell me who the real skeptics and rational thinkers are when emotions start running high.

Did you ever hear McCain call for Rummy to resign?

Are you just setting up these lobs for me to smash back at you?

December 2004:

In separate interviews, McCain, of Arizona, said he had “no confidence” in Rumsfeld, citing his handling of the war in Iraq and the failure of the Pentagon to send more troops, while Schwarzkopf, the allied commander in the first Gulf War, said Rumsfeld seemed to be passing the buck when quizzed last week about the armor supply for troops on the ground.

He did not call for Rumsfeld's resignation, it's true, but it's hard to send a stronger message of disapproval than that. He said some politic things when Rumsfelt resigned, but his later comments have been pretty strong:

"We are paying a very heavy price for the mismanagement -- that's the kindest word I can give you -- of Donald Rumsfeld, of this war," the Arizona senator told an overflow crowd of more than 800 at a retirement community near Hilton Head Island, S.C. "The price is very, very heavy and I regret it enormously."

(snip)

"I think that Donald Rumsfeld will go down in history as one of the worst secretaries of defense in history," McCain said to applause.

You were right the other day, this is just like debating Troofers.

Supposed by whom?

My bad. Got the URL to the wrong bimbo clip.

And don't give me any grief for calling names. She could have kept her drooling mouth shut.

In context, she meant among the candidates, her family is most familiar with what military life is about. If she doesn't immediately clarify her remarks, then I would agree that she is truly clueless.

Could you share some of that popcorn? I may be waitng a while for Brainster to come up with some proof that McCain had a bloody thing to do with the bill to improve condidtions at Walter Reed.

You're asking a die-hard republican to "share"?

You crazy fool.
