Another Antifa Call for Violence

You know Dan, getting your references from the future is just plan wrong man....

Yes, if it had only been a day instead of a year, I could have claimed that it was a different time zone. It's not convincing to argue that it was a different year zone. :)

Groups like AntiFa make it clear to Facist groups that they can't hide behind free speech and appeals to tolerance to undermine free speech and tolerance.

But it's impossible to make that clear to conservatives and other Republicans, who are always busy helping the Nazis' paint their hiding place.

Black entrepreneurs toured an upscale California neighborhood. False claims spread online

More antifa hysteria calling for violence against peaceful people minding their own business.

“This is not a joke,” read the Facebook post. “They are currently in my nieces neighborhood. Where are all my Second Amendment Peeps at?? May need to call on you today.”

The photo depicted nearly 20 young men and women, the majority of whom were black, walking through an upscale El Dorado Hills neighborhood.

In reality, the image was of an ambitious entrepreneurial group touring homes.

The gang of antifa raiders turned out to be a mentorship program for minority entrepreneurs.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? (sorry, that's rhetorical)

But I do want to know, since when has the second amendment come to mean "We have to shoot someone we don't like?"

I thought the point of the 2A was to allow citizens to protect themselves from the tyranny of the government? Since when is a vigilante lynch mob a well-regulated militia?

...Meanwhile, in my wife's birthplace of Snohomish, WA, the police chief fell for a hoax report and invited armed loons into town for, his words, "a festive night of tailgating and celebratory pleasantries." They were drinking in public while carrying guns and intimidating law abiding citizens.
Snohomish is policed by the county under an agreement and this moron has been reassigned but is still a lieutenant in the sheriff's department.

:sdl:

Mayor Kartak defended the city’s chief on Facebook and characterized the hours of public comment criticizing them as “an organized and focused attack on our community, on our police chief, and on myself.” He defended Rogers, saying he was being disrespected and “crucified” by “people who only wish to cause harm and pain.”

Bullies are people too, ya' know!!

Yet another Antifa call for violence just came in. They are calling for people to engage in violence against right-wing pixels on a pixel-grid canvas website where each person can only change 1 pixel every minute. Right-wing sources complain about being denied free speech and deplore the extremist violence against pixels merely for their political beliefs. On the other hand, Antifa sources say that the fascists are just still salty for having lost the battle of pixelgrad 4 years ago:

Denying people freedom of opinions and thoughts just because you find theirs objectionable, which is exactly what you do, is certainly just as awful as denying people protection from violence just because of their ancestry.

Why do you hate freedom?

Yawn.

The most favorite (and most silly) generalization from right wingers.

"People with low income should pay the hightest tax rate" is an opinion one could find objectionable.

"People with dark skin color are more likely to commit crimes, they are also less intelligent on average" is not. It can only be deemed despicable and has nothing to do with "muh freedom".

What's the point of this battle? I don't see it at all.

I don't think that Arcade22 is a true right winger.
The problem is that many people who consider themselves to be centrists also seem to think that it makes them more centrist if they buy into every lie that right wingers tell about socialists and anti-fascists. They consider this to be a kind of proof of their centrism and objectivity - sometimes to the extent that they object when false quotations created by fascists and accredited to socialists are exposed as fabrications.
This kind of alleged centrists hate to see their idea that 'socialists are just as bad as Nazis' ruined by facts. They are also often the kind of people who claim that 'Hitler was a socialist and so was Stalin.'

It's a common leftist thing to remove swastikas and other neo-nazi propaganda. Sometimes by overwriting it (say with stickers) or recuperating it (such as here). The point is that by leaving walls and other public canvases, including digital ones, filled with swastikas and other neo-nazi propaganda it 1) normalizes neo-nazism and 2) gives neo-nazis self-confidence which leads to an increase in violent attacks against leftists.

I think it takes an awful lot of pixels to counter-balance one fascist president.
What is happening in the streets right now is more effective than any pixel game. The "self-confidence" of neo-nazis is waning rapidly, but I am not sure that it will make them any less violent in the near future.
They will probably become more desperate than they already are.
