But then that small but finite amount increases with the birth that happened right after her death. so :)

I understand the jokes. Pretty hard to pass up. But I think this is a sad story, really.

This is a woman whose life followed a wholly predictable arc. The script of this play was written by a second-rate author. No twists. No redemption. Not a single surprise. And now the audience pans it. Anna Nicole Smith lays an egg.

The tragedy is in the flop itself.

Or how about this angle...since the estate tax is still in effect and she had a lot of money, the government will get some of it from tax and perhaps use some of it for cancer research, thereby making her death a net benefit. Then again, that would happen even if she weren't famous. Then again then again, maybe some of her wealth came from her being famous, thereby generating more money in her estate that ends up going to cancer research.

I don't know why she changed her name. Vicki Lynn sounds as nice or nicer than Anna Nicole. And Hogan sounds as ordinary as Smith.

Yeah, I read that too and thought the same thing, and then, of course, I thougt about BigFig/Mayday. Only us oldies will know why.

As to those who say she was meaningless, well true, she was no great brain, but she is newsworthy as her legal battles for the estate of Howard Marshall II were significant in what they said about inheritance laws. Heck, John Scopes, though a teacher, wansn't that great of a person. It is what happened around him that makes him known to almost everyone.
 
Poor baby. Orphaned and two idiots claiming to be her daddy. Hopefully the family court judge will show the wisdom of Solomon and neither one will get to raise the baby.

I don't know much about the one guy except that he claims he's the father and Anna wouldn't take the test so I'm assuming he's right. He may be a nut case off screen, I don't know, but I think he was getting ripped off big time by not getting access to his kid, assuming it was his. You shouldn't be able to just take somebodys kid and not let them see it because you don't like the person, even if you are the other parent.

And let's be honest, back when she WAS smokin', she was indeed SMOKIN'!!! She wasn't PMOY for nothing.
 
If there were only a way to link this to TRIMSPA. Like she overdosed on it, or she was doing something really unhealthy to lose weight and never actually took TRIMSPA and died from that, or complications from excessive plastic surgery or something like that. I'd love to see her death take those bastards down in flames.
Or maybe this is going to turn into the latest conspiracy theory that we should all be prepared for (a la Marilyn Monroe).

The truth is probably pretty mundane. Just a pathetically stupid woman with too much money, too little good sense and too much time in the spotlight.

Like a candle in the wind.
Or something less romantic.
Like a Zippo next to an air-conditioner vent.
