Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested...

Just reading that a firm specialising in fine art removals was seen leaving Andy's place, accompanied by a few cop cars. Hmmm ... wonder if they fear he'll sell valuable pieces?

It's at times like this that I wonder, with so many legitimate reasons to hate a guy, why make stuff up? In fact, Andrew has done quite a lot of professional training, and gained quite a few professional qualifications. Which you probably could have guessed, if you'd stopped for a second to remember who you're talking about.

I'm aware of his time at Dartmouth (friend of my sister knew him there) and about his naval service (know folk who served near him) and you don't want to believe everything the royal propaganda machine puts out about what they have supposedly achieved.

And since he left the protective, secretive environment of the forces he has done exactly what "professionally", requiring exactly what qualifications beyond a HRH title? It's not for nothing that all these royal boys go into the forces, rather than, say, serving the public by working as a nurse or doctor, where you can't rig the system and can't offer secrecy and protection.

Most of the stuff we are Required To Believe about this bunch is just BS and PR flummery.

ETA It is noteworthy that Chucky went to Cambridge at a time when the Oxbridge colleges, never mind the full university, jealously controlled entry through their own entrance exams, rather than through the general UCCA system (as it was then), as the rest of us scum had to. Result: St Cat's said he was in, 'cos they said so, and required him to get 2 Es at A-level. Unlike us scum who went to redbricks a year or 3 later who had to get proper good A-levels, which were a matter of public record, unlike Oxbridge entrance exam...

When I was at UCW there were still many staff around who remembered Charleyboy’s time there and reported that even by the standards of the royals he was a dimwit.

Probably why they used him as a missile decoy in the Falklands.

He should be locked up in the Tower. As a tour guide, restricted to dealing with loudmouth Americans. Meh, except the Yeoman Warders have a monopoly on that, don't they?
With some sailors and USN dependents touring the Tower once. One was totally ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊, don't know how he even got in the queue. Anyway he threw up on one of the guides. They took him away. They asked if anyone with with him. I waited. Nobody spoke up. Smarter than they looked.

So you're saying his certification as a helicopter pilot is a hoax? His service aboard the Invincible during the Falklands war, flying anti submarine and anti surface missions, is a lie? His career progression as a naval officer including service as a warship commander never happened?

Again, with so many legitimate reasons to dislike the guy, why make stuff up? Helicopter pilot certification is a legitimate professional certification. And it's not an easy one, either.

Now you're stuck having to move goslposts around, and propose absurd conspiracy theories, when you could have just stuck with legitimate complaints to begin with.

What other lies do you believe about people you hate, just because it gives you an excuse to hate them?

Most of that's correct but he didn't command a warship, he was considered unsuitable and when that was the next step in his career progression he was moved sideways into a specially created post at the MoD until he retired. You're right about his Falklands service though, it was genuine, some accommodation was made, for example he never overflew or landed on the islands themselves while they were occupied as they didn't want to risk him being captured and paraded through Buenes Airies, but he was certainly in mortal danger as an active member of the Navy in a combat zone fully participating in missions.

He flew some missions in the South Atlantic, mire has been made of it than actually happened.

He never commanded a warship or served aboard one in any capacity other than pilot.

Charles commanded a Warship.
HMS Bronnington. It was the 'Mothership' of my Sea Cadet Unit at the time up until it paid off from service.
