Can you explain how both of these can be true?

He wants everyone who knows anything to contact the FTC as well as the FBI or anyone else willing to listen about the tool scam. He believes that with many people complaining that the government might eventually take action on that issue.

and

Instead he thinks he can single handedly clean it up.

The foremore is the action you claim to be taking. The latter is my assessment of your actual actions.

And for the record I want to be absolutely clear that Tex seemed like a perfectly normal guy just like anyone else. No signs of being a wackaloon, more like a religious convert that has his own take on his particular religion. The Martin Luther of amway so to speak ;)

Ok, so I finally drove home. I spent about 90 mins on the phone with Tex as I headed up to Canada. He definitely comes across as sane and lucid on the phone. He also didn't try to recruit me.

He wants everyone who knows anything to contact the FTC as well as the FBI or anyone else willing to listen about the tool scam....

Make sure to call the FBI! They're standing by! Nothing non-lucid about that.:eye-poppi

You'll find on closer inspection where the 'Jew-boy' comment started. David first mentions he sends his social security check to Isreal. Game on for old Texie!

Tex is not an ogre but he is a kook with 16+ years of Amway cult influence under his belt, with the added benefit of the last 4 years without any adult supervision.

Whereas some folks dislike Tex because he tends to ruin blogs and forums with spamming (have him list the one's he's been kicked off of...and the reason why: "They're afraid of the facts!"). Upon being kicked off one of his first forums, he cried 'First Amendment Violation' and threatened a lawsuit. With constitutional scholarship such as that, you can bet his grasp of the 'tool scam' is equally impressive.

I personally don't like Tex because he calls nice people names - including a black PhD in biochemical engineering a 'nappy-headed ho.' Unfortunately, that forum is no longer up. You can decide if I'm making that up.

Bonus: Tex, the 50+ year old white guy, tried to play off his racist comments by saying that his 'black friends' got a big laugh out of it and he regularly calls them 'N*gger' in public just to see the reaction of people.

Make sure to reference Tex when you call the FBI about the 'tool scam.'

Too bad you didn't have the time (in 90 minutes? That must have been hell.) to have him explain (Texplain) how Amway distributors make a profit without ever having to sell a single item!

DISCLAIMER: I do tend to chase Tex around when I notice he's getting more respect than he deserves because people are basically nice, but I've been subscribing to Skeptic magazine for years now, so I'm not totally out of place.

Newton, What I "claim" is on my blog. It is also on several other blogs. Why would anyone want to take the actions I suggest until they understand the reasons why?

The Martin Luther analogy is accurate, especially from the standpoint he had no desire to leave the Catholic church, merely to reform it back to it's original Biblical roots and have those involved in the church come clean with their real motivations, just as I desire Amway return to the business model we show prospects and come clean with the real motivation being the tool scam. Martin Luther had his 95 Theses - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ninety-Five_Theses, I have my 9 Steps of Truth - http://texsquixtarblog.blogspot.com/2008/03/9-steps-of-truth.html

Almo, I find a lot of things on this and other blogs funny, and intend to continue to point those out. LOL If you don't like that, it's not my problem. LOL

pcj tends to chase me around because he has to do something when he's not on duty as a bedpan changer's assistant. LOL

The more I take the occasional dip into this thread the happier I am that, as far as I know, we do not have Amway adverts over here.

As long as the discussion stays on the level it has been on, there is little chance Amway will see this forum as having potential worthy of investing advertising dollars into.

There would be little reason to advertise amongst a group of folks who already know about the 'tools scam.'

How long has Tex been bugging people on this forum to call him to get the 'facts' about something they already know about? At least he's here and not somewhere where he might cause some harm. No one here (other than Tex) would be expected to be stupid enough to think that buying products from Amway is the path to financial freedom. Everyone knows that selling useless CDs, tapes and seminars is the true path. Well, not everyone.

And he's not 'Martin Luther'; he's the Amway Messiah.

For more dynamics on the '90 minute phone call' - google 'Amway Night Owl' where unfortunate cultists get to stay out late listening to the local 'leader' pontificate on all things great about the business. Tex, even after 16 years, has been denied that audience so searches it out in the form of the 'conference call' - which is, as far as he knows, an effective way of 'getting the message out and keeping the troops involved'...Cult 101 in Amwayland.

pcj, I'm glad you are enjoying your fantasy world. Now that there are others posting, besides the 2 of us, it appears they are calling BS to your fantasies. LOL

Seems to me that I wasn't the one who had to admit claims of 'half-truths' were no such things. Any idea where they called 'BS'? Of course not.

As I said before: Tex and reality are not close friends.

It's good you were able to 'show the facts' to someone who already knew about the 'tool scam,' though. At least you only suckered one person into calling you and they summed up your 90 minutes of rantings in a couple simple phrases. We wish you had the same gift.

Look on this thread, above, for the BS message: 18th July 2009, 02:40 PM

The other person cherry picked the obvious questions. The other parts of your message contain several half-truths.

As I said before: pcj and reality are not close friends.

It's one thing to be aware of the tool scam, and quite another to have thought through the resulting implications. HE was the one who elected to talk for 90 minutes. HE could have hung up at any time during the call. The main reason we discontinued was he became distracted by external events, I believe he was approaching the U.S./Canadian border, and either had to talk with the border guards and/or his roaming charges were about to kick in. We talked about you and icerat/ibofb as well. LOL

Where he saw I spoke the truth but gave you the benefit because he didn't read the thread carefully? Obviously a huge victory for you, Texie - seeing as now once again NO ONE other than me is here with you.

Glad to see I could help again!

It's one thing to be aware of the tool scam, and quite another to have thought through the resulting implications.

We await the moment when you reach the second part - if it's on par with your other brilliant deductive work, you've only got another 8 years or so of looking like a moron before it hits you - much like your 'discovery' that the tools were a scam.

We talked about you and icerat/ibofb as well. LOL

And just like a good little Amway cultist, you consider 'volume' to equal 'success' - to include wasting other people's time on the phone.

And just like your Amway business, you're the only one buying it. Which you think makes you profit. And I know you've been reading another thread, because the people here have been beating you like a rented mule since you showed up.

But, once again you're all alone, have burnt another blog, and remain as useless as ever. TexSuccess!

No, he read the thread, and saw the details behind the accusation. LOL

I already know the implications. You can't see beyond your bedpan mopping rag. LOL

He didn't think his time was wasted, neither did I. I have plenty of customers, but we don't sell bedpan mopping rags, so I have nothing to offer you. LOL

I haven't seen the other thread, but I'll go and look to see if it's worth my time to post. LOL

I looked, it isn't worth it. LOL

I'm far from alone, and this blog/forum thread will continue on as long as YOU get back to work mopping up bedpan spills. LOL

if i could just interrupt the tex/porkchop lovefest for a second ...

Tex, with lots of customers and lots of product being shifted you are presumably sending some of your profits up the chain to those above you who you are opposed to in the use of the tool scam.

i can get that some people might be blind to Amway's methods and carry on working away like some poor saps
I can get that some people might be all to aware of Amway's methods and don't mind and carry on working.
I can get that the people at the top are secretive about the 'tool scam' to keep the number of saps high.

BUT to be waging an internet war against the tool scam and profiting from Amway (and thereby helping the profits of the tool scammers themselves) AT THE SAME time ...seems ...well .... confused.

You are correct that some of the profits are being sent upline. However, the amount is insignificant compared to what these LCKs make via the tool scam.

Several years ago, the city I lived in wanted to move our electric power from below ground to overhead. The neighborhood successfully protested against it. During this period, we all used electricity, which added to the city's profit. Same concept, so you should NOT be confused.

Honestly I think Tex just has a blind spot for the bad part of Amway itself. Very much the sort of cognitive dissonance you find in religious believers. Dude, you can still fight against the tools scam while building some other kind of business that isn't unethical and might actually make you money.

Quixtar sales pitches to college students

Just an anecdotal story:

One of the Quixtar sales employees was able to convince one of my college friends to join the group while we were all in college. My college buddy asked us to come to a meeting and said that he would essentially get us drunk for showing up and listening to the sales pitch.

The entire pitch was sleazy from the start. Lots of numbers thrown at us and "guarantees" for making certain amounts of money if we 'only' got our friends and families to join, and decided to buy our general household products directly from Quixtar (e.g., deodorant, toothpaste, toilet paper, etc).

Two of my friends and I decided to walk out, but my friend was able to convince a third friend to join. The salesman was saying things like, "this is a one time offer to join now," and that we would miss out and not be able to join if we left. That was the final straw when we decided to leave. They (the two friends that joined) ended up sinking a lot of their own money into Quixtar and never saw any returns.

Overall impression, the salesman was not up-front about Amway being renamed Quixtar, he offered a lot of promises that sounded too good to be true, and two of my friends dumped a lot of their own money with very little return.
