Merged All things Trump + Russia

I agree there is a massive amount of hypocrisy on the right about his issue, but it is not like the left does not have a history of violent rhetoric and justifying violence .
Rembemer Jesse Jackson and "No Justice, No Peace?"
among others? It's equally disgusting coming from either side.
You think, "no peace" is a call to violence? Could it not just be a call to continue the protests? Jackson was never involved in the Black Panther Movement or anything like it, was he?

Aw come on. We've put so much effort into our relationship, eh.

:p Yes, we're such excellent neighbors, and we never interfere with the politics of other countries. We absolutely don't do things like... umm... arming the guys fighting against the government we dislike, or engaging in propaganda to support the person we think is most likely to advance our agenda. Never that.

ETA: Has the US ever interfered in CA's government? I mean, other than blaming your beady eyes and flapping heads and such?

There's a lot to be said for having something like the Black Panthers to not be a part of, or someone like Malcolm X not to be.

In the end, the violence is a measure of the intransigence of the resistance. In the case of US Civil Rights in the 60's resistance was localised and the feds were for change. The US was dragged into the modern world, kicking and screaming, in all its varied parts.

In Northern Ireland, the intransigence of the resistance met no opposition from the feds, and it dragged on much longer.

Did your "Rumors and Propaganda" class teach you about all of the things that America is engaged in, with respect to those topics?

You mean, like when the CIA publicized the Glomar Explorer as a drilling ship? Why would the CIA provide true details during the course of the ship's operational mission? As the old saying goes: "Loose lips sink ships." I was telling you like it is in regards to Russian military doctrine.

No foreign entity is a "friend" of the US. They are allies only so far as it benefits them to be so. Exactly the same as we are to them.

I beg to differ.

AFTER THE ATTACKS: THE ALLIANCE;
For First Time, NATO Invokes Joint Defense Pact With U.S.

NATO invoked a mutual defense clause in its founding treaty for the first time today, strongly suggesting that the United States would have the support of the allies if it takes military action against those responsible for attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

A NATO statement issued after a meeting of ambassadors to the 19-member alliance said, ''If it is determined that this attack was directed from abroad against the United States, it shall be regarded as an action covered by Article 5 of the Washington Treaty.''

And Putin hasn't been making Trump look bad - Trump has been making Trump look bad.

The Russians have been assisting Trump in making him look bad.

The White House is furious at Russia over this photo

The White House said Thursday it got trolled by Russia with the release of a photo that showed President Trump shaking hands with Russia’s foreign minister in the Oval Office, according to a report.

Russian news agency TASS posted the photo — taken a day after Trump fired FBI Director James Comey — showing the Trump and Sergei Lavrov shaking hands during the meeting that was closed to reporters.

The White House was blindsided that the photo ended up on social media — and was used by Russia to troll the US.

“They tricked us,” one White House official groused to CNN. “That’s the problem with the Russians — they lie.”

I love this idea that the right using violent rhetoric is evil, but the left using violent rhetoric is good.

I wouldn't say it's "good", but bear in mind that the one side has the power of most branches of government on its side (with its implied monopoly of power) and the other side doesn't.
So threats issued from the right are potentially much more serious since they seem to have the implicit backing of the old guy in the White House (see past rhetoric and lack of any comment towards violence perpetrated by right-wingers).

When the side that embraced shooting targets with the faces of Obama, Hillary, Sanders, and other Democrats suddenly gets horribly offended by violent imagery towards Trump, obviously, all criticism of the offense that they're taking and the outrage they feel is a claim that violent rhetoric from the left is good.

Additional question: Did anybody ask her about it, or did nobody care, because she's not on the "wrong" side politically?

When it comes to actually caring, it's more likely that few people cared because her chances of actually being elected were very close to zero.

FWIW, Jill Stein was asked by Jeremy Scahill if she was payed for her Moscow trip. Her answer was a clear no.

JS: There’s — Flynn, of course, we now know was paid a pretty substantial — well, by most American standards in terms of working people, a pretty substantial amount of money to appear there. Did they pay you?

J. Stein: No, they did not offer to pay me. They did offer to pay my way, and I said no thank you.

JS: So, let me get this straight, because I’ve seen people erroneous —

J. Stein: No.

JS: So, you’re saying they did not pay your transportation.

J. Stein: I would not accept money for transportation. They did not pay my hotel fare either at a Russian state hotel.

As I've seen some shillaries here and elsewhere parrot the nonsense their mistress spreads about "17 Intelligence agencies agree..." that the Russians did do something, for the gullible here you have a debunking of that claim. Money quote:

US Senate said:
FRANKEN: And I want to thank General Clapper and – and Attorney General Yates for – for appearing today. We have – the intelligence communities have concluded all 17 of them that Russia interfered with this election. And we all know how that’s right.

CLAPPER: Senator, as I pointed out in my statement Senator Franken, it was there were only three agencies that directly involved in this assessment plus my office…

FRANKEN: But all 17 signed on to that?

CLAPPER: Well, we didn’t go through that – that process, this was a special situation because of the time limits and my – what I knew to be to who could really contribute to this and the sensitivity of the situation, we decided it was a constant judgement to restrict it to those three. I’m not aware of anyone who dissented or – or disagreed when it came out.

How many intelligence agencies would you find convincing?

Sorry, but if the
National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)
National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
Twenty-Fifth Air Force (25 AF)
Military Intelligence Corps (MI)
Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA)
and
Coast Guard Intelligence (CGI)

haven't been doing their own research into the matter, how can we trust it?
