Merged Alien Big Cats in the UK?

There is a big kitty loose in Denmark now.

I can tell the Danish challenged that it is a lynx escaped from a zoo, it have never had live food, and traps have been set out.
It is supposed to be very "fond" of children, particularly 1-2 year olds.

I imagine by the time they're 4-5 years old, they're stringy, tough, and full of preservatives from junk food :D

The Danish lynx have been caught, a dog had chased it up a tree and kept it there until police, owner and a vet showed up and sedated it with an arrow.

It is now back in it's cage and the owner have gotten a reprimand from the police for not having informed them of having it in the first place.
(I misread the first article, it is not a zoo animal but a privately owned "pet".)

Surely no true Scottish wildcat could be caught by a simple device like a gamecam?

That report describes Rick Minter as a "big cat expert" without telling us anything about his qualifications or background. A quick google search lists him as the author of a book of collected unsubstantiated big cat sighting anecdotes.

His book claims that DEFRA and the Armed Forces are mounting a massive conspiracy to cover up the existence of big cats in Britain. He is quoted in an article in the Sun:
The body of a fearsome puma-like animal is said to be hidden in a top security vault at an RAF base.

Hundreds of big cat sightings have been recorded over the years — from the Beast of Bodmin in Cornwall to the Surrey Puma. The Government's environment department Defra insists evidence is "unsubstantiated".

But Rick Minter, author of Big Cats: Facing Britain's Wild Predators, claims staff at RAF Fylingdales, North Yorks, saw the body of the "puma".

He likens it to the US government's alleged cover-up of an alien in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. He writes: "It is at RAF Fylingdales that we have Britain's Roswell moment on big cats.
