A Qur'an Got Burnt at 9/11 Mosque Protest

and where does it say he molested her?

There's Sahih al-Bukhari, one of the six canonical hadith collections. According to al-Bukhari the marriage was consummated when Aisha was nine.

I'm not allowed to post URLs yet, but if you go to Wikipedia's page on Aisha, you find some references there.

Anyways, let me summarize before I ramble too much: I met and worked with a good number of the locals there. The vast majority of the ones I knew were muslim in the same way many in my home area in the 'States are christian or catholic; It's the mask you wear in public in order to better fit with your community. They weren't fanatical or even particularly devout. Almost every home I was invited into had booze stashed somewhere, and anyone who had a cell phone (The locals in my area ALL had one. Sometimes two or three!) had porn on it. Definitely un-muslim, but there you go. And they weren't too different than us. There's some cultural differences, of course. We don't have Nahia meetings in the 'States, for example. But by and large their concerns mirror our own; We want to live comfortably, provide for our families, and enjoy time with our friends.

I'll even go so far as to say I plan on returning there as a tourist one day, when things there calm down and I can do so safely.
Cheers to that. Your story brought a smile to my face.

I can give you a bunch. I liked hanging around the interpreters quite a bit. There was one guy I learned quite a bit from; He was born an Iraqi, lived there until he was an adult, then walked across the country into turkey and flew to the 'States. Lived here for thirty years. Perfect english and arabic. The funny part, was once in a great while he'd use an arabic phrase and say it in english.

The most memorable example: There were tons of stray cats all around our JSS. For that reason we had to be careful of leaving food out. Once, we went into a meeting room to find open food left out on a table. He pointed at it and said, "The cats! They will have a (expletive) WEDDING!"

The one ANTPogo gave.

But that's definitely not the definition Thunder was going with when he said "I hope he gets a fatwa" was it?

Please try to follow the conversation.

OK, then I ask you again (for the fourth time I think): What did you mean when you said "I hope he gets a fatwa" and "Yeah, put a fatwa on his Nazi ass."?

Hey, there's an easy way to resolve this.

We know that a fatwa is really just a decision made about a point of Islamic law. Thunder apparently agrees with that now, though he described them as "religious opinions", which is not exact but close enough for the purposes of this thread.

Now all Thunder needs to do is explain just what specific "religious opinion" he thinks should be applied to this guy's "Nazi ass", and what he hopes the results of the application of that "religious opinion" will be.

I base my opinion on logic. Thunder's post doesn't make sense if we take ANTPogo's definition of 'Fatwa'.

Can you make sense of it?

Pardalis and ANTPogo are correct. RSLancastr and DC are not able to process thought behind Thunder’s statement. There is no misconception here.
Fatwa (verdict, opinion, desire) is a mean to achieve something. Fatwa is not the end of somehinng.
When Thunder said “I hope he gets a fatwa”, implies Thunder wanted to see the Quran burner to be punished at least severely if not put to death.
I think, any book burning shouldn’t be punished at all.
Some moronic liberals can’t distinguish the difference between burning an entire library or all the copies of a book or banning a book versus burning a single copy of it. As a matter of fact banning a book is far, far worse than burning a single or few copies of book. Obviously, when one burn a copy of a book (and not all the books) he/she is trying to express something. Expression must be protected.
It is extremely important to burn Quran. We must wake up the West.
Muslim reaction to Salman Rusdie book was the x-ray of their mind, their intolerant value system. We must tell this 7th century sicko that we will no longer tolerate this kind of behavior.
Muslim countries routinely ban dozens of books every year.
When these liberals retards will learn to think. Obviously, not all liberals think alike. But more and more liberalism is becoming mental disorder when it comes to political correctness.
To the liberals with lobotomized brain:
Tolerance of intolerance is the death of reasonable tolerance. We shouldn’t tolerate Islamic filthy teachings.

Unfortunately, Muslims fell in love with the wrong guy, Mohammad.
Although it is obvious, that Jesus never walked on the water nor was the son of god but at least Jesus was not a war monger nor did he teach taqiya (deception) or barbarism. Some even doubt even the existence of real Jesus Christ.

Real existence of Mohammad or Jesus is less important. The more important is who worship what kind of character however fictitious the character is. Despite of Mohammad’s bad characters Muslims idealized Mohammad. They accept anything Mohammad did as the definition of good.

evidence?

Do it yourself.
Pretend you are changing your religion to Islam. Be like a Muslim. Eath and breath with them for 6 months or so. Then ask them what is the objective of Islam. Is it bring Sharia to the whole world or not? Once they believe you are one of them they will tell you.
so called moderate Muslims will never say those thing on camera.
Only the openly radical islamist will say on the camera. Radical Islam is in a very small number. We can deal with the radicals, they are obvious. MI6, CIA, FBI watching Anjum Chodhry of UK like people.
The biggest threat is not the Islamist Radicals but the so called moderate Muslims. These are the stealth Jihadist, like Imam Abdur Raoof.

So you were not alone in your misunderstanding. That does not make you right. It merely means that you have company in your wrongness.

Well, either that, or it's quite clear what Thunder really meant, and his backpedaling of "you all got it wrong!" is not convincing.

Well, I live in a mixed city with a Muslim population of about 30% or so. I "ate and breathed" with them for the better part of a decade by now. Wanna see some pictures I took inside mosques or of Muslims in prayer? I also speak some Arabic, though it's far worse than what it should be.

While I have certainly met my share of radical kooks who are for sharia, destruction of Israel, a worldwide chalifate, and whatnot, most don't seem to care that much about such issues. A common belief is that eventually everybody will convert to Islam because it's the one true religion, but that's hardly unique to Muslims.

Presumably, it's possible they're all just hiding the awful truth(TM) from me because I'm not a Muslim, but...

It is very important to expose Islamic psyche to the world before it gets too late.

(Shrug) It's a bit hard to take you seriously as exposing the "awful truth" about Islam when you don't know what falafel is; it's a bit like someone warning us about the USA's secret, evil, world-destroying nature, and then finding out he'd never heard of hamburgers.

Your problem isn't in pointing out that Islam has serious problems. Your problem is that your knowledge of Islam is purely theoretical: that you know few if any Muslims personally and therefore think Islamic theology alone determines what Muslims do.

There is hope for Islam not because "real" Islam is "really" moderate. That's, as you say, BS -- Islamic theology is very much pro-violence and anti-infidel, far more so -- at least in the last century or so -- than Christian or Jewish one. It's a great "barracks religion", since it is very much pro-war.

But there is no rule that all Muslims must follow the dictates of such theology. There is no law that every Muslim secretly must agree with the Mullahs. Many, alas, do. But... that's not the whole story.

It's a Middle-Eastern dish.

My question was: you call yourself an 'insider' regarding information about Islam.

Do you have 'inside information' about Islam, or do you call yourself an 'insider' because you read certain ant-Islamic websites?

He is mouthing crap about Islam, and is so ignorant of Middle Eastern culture as to not know what Falafel is.
Just have to point out that Falafel is not Islamic, though; it is very much a standard Israeli dish.

A. The idiot in question in the OP had a perfect right to burn a Koran, and we have the perfect right to call him a bigot and an idiot for doing so.

You have no actual idea what "taqiyya" means, or how it is and has been used, do you?

Do it yourself.

"Abdur Raoof"? Are you talking about Feisal Abdul Rauf, perhaps?

The rest of your posts are filled with such sheer fail that I don't even know where to start.

Be my guest, call him a bigot but Muslims have no right to kill him, physically harm him or incite violence against him or burn cars on the street or kill each other.
CNN and other news media suppressed the video of the burning of the Quran that is why the intended exposition of Islamic mind did not occur. He failed in his objective. But he is not proven wrong.

When CNN, BBC, Al Jazera broadcast the burning of the Quran and Muslims do not react in violence only then he will be proven wrong.

In this time of the history all major news media are covering up Islamic filth. There is news black out of the Islamic rage - self censorship.

For a complete list visit www.religionofpeace.org

We must expose Islam to the West.

So far only 35% US population have negative opinion about Islam. But 70% are against building the Mosque at Ground Zero (but presumably not against building a Church or Hindu temple etc.) I don't get this 35% versus 70%.
Can anyone explain this to me, please?

yah, yah, yah, you will come up with some sanitized version of taqiyya, just like another version of Jihad (inner jihad) BS. of course there are double meanings of Jihad or even Taqiyya.

Go fools the gullible West. I am an insider. You can't fool me.

Yes, I am talking about the cunning Faisal Abdul Rauf who has fooled Obama and wrote part of Obama speech that he delivered in Cairo last year - Myth of Islamic Golden Age. There was none.

No, it should be read. One can't intelligently oppose anything by first guessing what it's all about.

unfortunately you have not thoguht deep enough.
If main kemf were being followed by large number of people and if the follower had violent reaction then it must be burn symbolically to expose their mental virus.

Burning a quran doesn't prohibit you from reasding it. Of course, one should read it. then they should burn it. He can still keep another copy. Get it
No one is talking about burning all the copies of Quran. Banning the Quran is worse than burning a copy or two. I am against banning quran.

The purpose of burning a quran is not the elimination of Quran but to expose what it does to human mind by observing Muslims' violent reaction against it.

Think deeper.

No, as I said, I was referring to the way it has been used and justified in actual application, by who, and against who (if "against" is really the right word).

But I can't say I'm really surprised at your response. I find it interesting how those who claim to know the Real True Secret Islam always seem to be so ignorant about the very basics.

Go fools the gullible West. I am an insider.

If by which you mean you know all about the Islam that apparently resides solely inside your own head, I agree. Your knowledge about Islam in the real world, on the other hand, is distinctly lacking.

So not only do you seem to know nothing about Islam, you know nothing about history, either.
