Can somebody please explain to uke2se what the difference is between a non-agression agreement and a military alliance? He won't accept it from me.
A non-agression agreement is merely an agreement not to hit each other on the face. Maybe that is good enough to count as a friendship in uke2se's book, but in nobody else his book.
A military alliance means that 2 parties are willing to sacrifice large numbers of soldiers for a common cause, something completely different.
You mean like the military alliance that the Germans and Soviets had to carve up Poland and to divide Eastern Europe into Soviet and German zones of influence? Like that alliance?
