No it just shows the system used at Birkenau to dispose of bodies was almost exactly half as efficient as the process used in Treblinka

Irving is going to go bankrupt again. He already went to the wall in 2002. Now he can't refund the tour costs after being refused access to Auschwitz and Treblinka. It was funny watching Irving say "Treblinka is a real death camp" clutching at straws to keep the tour going. He will say anything.

Of course, this bankruptcy will *still* not discharge the debts he owes from various lawsuits he has famously lost. He still owes a widow in CA, USA for court costs when he tried to have her evicted from her home (!) because of a supposed "agreement" between him and her late husband regarding a bequest which apparently never was made. And leave us not forget that he *brags* about not paying Penguin or La Lipstadt (a judgement he still whines about having assets confiscated to satisfy) -- all the while dodging US taxes on his "book sales" while "on tour" in the USA, one of the few "major" countries into which he is still allow entry.

I was recently reminded of a case from 2008 when he was forcibly evicted from a B&B for being so odious the keeper ended up ringing the local constabulary for their assistance, after which "I see you, I sue you" Irving took her to court, and -- wait for it -- wait for it -- spectacularly lost.

Hasn't paid off on that one, either.

With stories like that, debt slavery suddenly looks like a good idea. How does he even have money to spend on plane tickets to the USA when he still has to repay millions of debt?

Well, there's the contributions from the "sales" he makes, but between you and me and the fencepost (evidence being made available to the appropriate authorities) mostly certain .... Middle Eastern <cough cough Iranian cough cough former Saudi disowned by their family and "living in a cave" persons.

This is a bit of a derail, but the type of bankrupt-yet-defiant-to-pay-off persons always seems to be able to somehow spend money without holding a steady job. Of course, if Irving had a steady job, his creditors would be able to seize the wages (as they surely will have done with the royalties from his books). The top priority of a debtor should be to repay his debts, but if he's unwilling the creditors are pretty powerless to enforce that, or even to enforce that the debtor makes efforts to earn money. The least the government could do were to seize his passport so he can't travel abroad.

My general thesis about these people is that they have gone to an escapist fantasy as a means to avoid the realities of their failures in life.

In this instance I'm interested in another explanation. 9/11, were your parents traitors? Did your family betray your country and collaborate with the invaders? Is this somehow an attempt to exonerate the Nazis there by making your family's treason acceptable?
