This is yet again one of those threads I read a page of, then to my surprise see sometime later that it's expanded to a great length. It's oddly enjoyable to then read the last page and make up a story in your head about how it got from the discussion on the first to whatever it has become on thirteenth or so.

This one has gone to pink razors and bitter recriminations.

I guess I'm on one hand saying thank you for the entertainment, but on the other it doesn't give me hope for when I go back and read the other twelve or so pages on a topic that deserves open dispassionate discussion.

EDIT: Haven't read it all yet, but I'm happily mistaken. A good deal of good discussion. My mistake.

I have to agree. There were a lot of points which were brought out which I thought were valid. There were some I didn't agree with, as well, but I was enjoying the give and take, and learning a great deal about the ideas of others. It was stimulating, and worthwhile.

Sad to say, it degraded. I know where, and whose fault it belongs to, but the only thing left is to call the mods and ask for it to be moved to AAH. That's disappointing, because there are people in this discussion whom I've always respected, (and continue to, given they tried to keep it on topic, and they contributed a great deal to my understanding of the core issue... Not that we can recall what that is at this point in the discussion...)

I was hoping to learn more. This is not going to be the case, it seems.
