25 reasons Why Ron Paul can win in 2012 (Summary)

If Ron Paul runs in 2012, does that mean I can look forward to him resurrecting the "North American Union" and "NAFTA superhighway" conspiracy theories?

Ron Paul opposes both of these conspiracy theories. No, he will not resurrect them.

5) The Tea Party movement backs Ron Paul. The only other leading GOP contender who has any tea party appeal is Sarah Palin. Mitt Romney is a phony and is not fooling anyone.
But will TTP have enough steam in two years?
6) Every four years, we get an age shift in voters. New young voters tend to back Ron Paul, while old voters who have died since 2008 do not support Ron Paul. A four year shift is about 7% of the electorate.
But then, the youngsters who supported Paul in 2008 is four years older in 2012...
7) Newspapers are against Ron Paul; they are going out of business or their circulation is declining. The Internet supports Ron Paul and it is on the rise.
But didn't Obama use the internet to rally campaign workers IRL?

Ron Paul opposes both of these conspiracy theories. No, he will not resurrect them.

Unless he's changed his tune recently, I can clearly recall statements from him in the past which strongly indicated his support for both of those conspiracy theories.

Here's Ron Paul talking about the move toward the North American Union and the NAFTA Superhighway in a Prez debate in 2008. So please show where he "opposes both of those conspiracy theories." Don't waffle. Don't change the subject. Don't prevaricate. Just back up your claim with facts that can be verified.

But could someone please explain the jazz about that NAFTA superhighway for an uninformed european like me? According to this, there's highways from coast to coast, from north to south. AFAIK, the legendary Route 66 wasn't completley dismantled. But you can still drive almost the same route. So what is a superhighway, really? Someone looking at a map and deciding that this highway is a superhighway?

BTW: If Ron Paul dissolves income taxes, how will he defend the country, since the Armed Forces would have to be disbanded because we couldn't pay for them? (They do a good job, but they ain't cheap.)

The American Freedom and Liberty way, of course: insurance! Invasion insurance! After all, it's not fair for those who can afford to pay for an army that the lazy poor gets defended just the same!

I personally would chalk it up to xenophobia and the fear of 'them' taking 'us' over. While NAFTA involves Canada, Mexico, and the United States, most of the resentment in the U.S. against all things NAFTA, by those who harbour such resentment, seems to be focused squarely on Mexico. Very little is said about Canada.

I've often said that anyone who thinks the "North American Union" is real is someone who clearly does not understand Canadian politics.

It's called superhighway because it will have at least 5 lanes of traffic in each direction. It's called NAFTA because it will link Mexico and Canada in such a way that the U.S. will have no regulatory control over what goes on in the 350-meter wide corridor between those two nations. Many Americans oppose it because it will require taking too much private property. Other see it as a loss of American sovereignty. Others wonder if incredibly dangerous cargo will be shipped across the U.S. in trucks that are exempt from U.S. safety regulations. Others see it as the first step in destroying the Constitution by combining the U.S., Canada, and Mexico into a single country.

I hear the "NAFTA superhighway" is some conspiracy in which the EVIL GOVERNMENT will take away the land of REAL AMERICAN PATRIOTS to build a new highway on it, linking Mexico, the US and Canada, in order to further the plans of some EVIL INTERNATIONAL CONSPIRACY (the jewishness of which seems optional).

You know, the usual...

Step 1) Have EVIL intentions
Step 2) Do something completely innocuous
Step 3) ???
Step 4) World Domination

... and observing Step 2 in action is complete and irrefutable proof of all the rest.

Latest Polls:

National GOP:

Romney 28%
Huckabee 24%
Palin 23%
Paul 11%

(note - the poll methodology was slightly rigged against Paul)

Kentucky Dailykos Poll:

Rand Paul 40%
Trey Grayson 28%

So we have good news here.

In reality what was proposed was a superhighway that was slightly upgraded for increased truck traffic that would still be subject to all local highway laws. There would have been dedicated entry points for the highway at the borders but security would have been the same. Of course since when do "facts" matter to the paranoid bigots?

It's 2008 all over again. Any poll where Paul doesn't win, there's always a problem with the poll. Why is that?

By 'rigged' I assume you mean accurate?

Kentucky Dailykos Poll:

Rand Paul 40%
Trey Grayson 28%

So we have good news here.

And the good new is that you can reverse both candidates names: Paul Rand and Grayson Trey.

Otherwise, Kentucky elected Jim Bunning to the senate, twice! So it's not surprising they want a loon to replace the loon who's not running.

If the poll ain't rigged, call the state a loon.

So a 5-lane highway from north to south wouldn't be that a big difference?

Anyway, infrastructure aren't unmixed blessings, as The Aids Highway shows.

I used to be a conspiracy nut. The "jewishness" isn't really that optional. There are some CTers who are uncomfortable with that kind of rhetoric and they pretend they don't hear it.

Ron Paul is not going to win in 2012. Get serious. He's going to do what he did in 2008:

  • Run for President
  • Collect millions of dollars in donations
  • Drop out of the race
  • Count all his money.
