Merged $25,000 Spent on programes that made things worse./Woke kindergarten

Well, when you've got six people sitting on the bench of the highest court in the land who are giving every indication that they would be ok with the verdicts in the White Rose trial, then your first quote is a legitimate question to ask.

Perhaps it is a legitimate question to ask high school kids, but you might as well ask kindergartners what they think about Spinoza's Ethics.

Some people, like the Woke Kindergarten people, use the word unironically. And they are promulgating BS. So far, it seems we agree.
As I said, they are idiots.

Am I also promulgating BS by unironically pointing out the facts of the first two sentences in this post?
Are you using the word unironically, or are you simply pointing out that others are using the word unironically?

Can you give an example of what you mean by "using the word unironically"?

If I say that Woke Kindergarten is promulgating woke nonsense, and the school district paid $250,000 for this woke nonsense, probably because they've been ideologically captured by woke nonsense, is that a problem for you?

I would say that you, and they, are using the word unironically.

I would say that you, and they, are using the word unironically.

Why is it a problem for you, if I use the word in the same sense that they do, to denounce what they mean by it?

Nobody who denounces Nazism uses the term ironically. That would defeat the purpose of denouncing Nazism. Nobody who denounces wokeism uses the term ironically. That would defeat the purpose of denouncing wokeism.

You're trying to have it both ways: Wokeism is real and nonsense, but anyone who denounces it is also spouting nonsense.

Yes. Everything to do with the word "woke" is nonsense. Those who think they are woke, those who hate those who think they are woke, those who think they hate those who think they hate those who think they are woke - all of them are idiots. Woke is bull **** from start to finish. Anybody who takes it seriously, for any reason, is, in my opinion, an idiot. And yes, that includes me for getting involved in this profoundly stupid discussion in the first place.

**** woke. **** everything about woke. **** it from top to bottom and sideways both ways on Sundays. **** it.

This is, in my opinion, unhinged. People are founding businesses for the purpose of selling woke. Government agencies are buying woke from those businesses.

The people selling woke aren't idiots, they're grifters.

The people buying woke, yes, are idiots.

The people calling out this sorry state of affairs aren't idiots. They're quite correct to take this seriously and call it out.

The more idiotic woke is (and it's very idiotic), the more seriously we need to take it, when we see that there are marks for the woke grift in government.

Yeah I'm unhinged, where woke is concerned. **** it.

Wouldn't it be better to be hinged? You don't normally have any trouble denouncing bad policy and bad ideology when you see it. What is it about woke, that you can't bring yourself to say people should take it seriously and call it out when it enters public policy?

I won't go so far as to say, unhinged, however there things related to "woke" that are an issue.

This Woke Kindergarten program is basically a program intended to teach american kids that among other things, the United States has no right to exist and the police should be abolished and at least one public school district paid them to teach them how to teach kids this, while under performing in most measurable metrics of educating kids.

Then there's is chris rufo who openly admits that he's labeling anything he doesn't like as CRT, more or less another name for Woke.

So, while 90% of the use of the word woke is BS, there are some really issues with things being called woke and things calling themselves woke that are, IMHO, a significant problem in the US.

I think Arth really is trying to have it both ways. He's already invested in "Chris Rufo, therefore wokeism isn't real." But he can't quite deny "Woke Kindergarten and the Hayward School District, therefore wokeism is real." So his solution is to condemn anyone who sells or buys wokeism, but also condemn anyone who objects to the selling and buying of wokeism. Chris Rufo is his red herring and his scapegoat.

The problem is, that's Rufo's fault and the GOPs fault. They could react to Wokism rationally but instead we get Rufo and stupid constitution violating laws. Its very much like McCarthy, there were a bunch of commie spies in the government and commies writing movies and the US commie party was paid for and run by the Russians, but McCarthy made it toxic to mention.

Toxic only in the sense that it gives ideological enemies a hook to hang a bad-faith dismissal on. That shouldn't be a problem for us, here. But for some reason it is. Arth is pretending Rufo's antics mean he doesn't have to acknowledge the valid complaints about creeping wokeism.

I literally don't even know who Chris Rufo is. That's how much I care.

There are no legitimate woke criticisms.

Just like there are no legitimate criticisms of dragons.

Whatever you want to call it, racial identitarianism, sexualizing children, and lower standards for "equity" are bad. M'kay.
